Hi Buzz Killington. I'm pretty sure EVERYONE was asking for the musketeer (now machinist because they're not doing the class>job deal now.)

I've been very much looking forward to the Au'Ra when they were suggested on the polls and infact that's what i voted for.

SMN already fills the role of pet-commanding DPS. We don't need another any time soon.

We have;
BLM, Magic based DPS focused on single hit blasts.
SMN, Magic based DPS focused on DoTs and Pet damage.
BRD, Physical DPS that dabbles in support skills.

Now we have the Machinist, a second Physical Ranged DPS, but also with pets.

So we're going to have 1 of each type of DPS in both categories (Pet vs no Pet)

PLD/WAR/DRK
WHM/SCH/AST
NIN/DRG/MNK
BRD/MCH
SMN/BLM

Thats what our Job role list breakdowns is going to look like, and it looks fine. Had we gotten another magical DPS instead of Machinist, it'd put the BRD further into its currently unique position of ranged physical while bloating out the Magical DPS.
You could argue the NIN bloated the melee DPS, but it really doesn't since the NIN slots very neatly in between the DRG style and MNK style of DPS.
