When I first started off as ninja at 50 I was really struggling. I was doing absolutely terrible as ninja as I had only ever played bard up until this point. Nothing what I did seemed to work for me and I got really frustrated to the point I tossed my Yoshimitsu Atma and i110 Vajras. Took the weekend off and began to regret what I had done. So when I logged in that following Monday I dropped the sol to get a new i110 vajras. I just spammed Hard Modes and Extremes after that to force myself to learn how to properly react. Now I sit at i113 posting this while I wait on a FATE for my 7th book for my new Yoshimtisu Atma I got and I am able to easily top dps in most groups now.

Man, I don't toss hardly anything. I still have darklight and green level 50 gear from those dungeons at the time lol. Glad it worked out for you in the end

I always find myself climbing on taller things in the environment, same urge I get as a dragoon since dragoons have to precariously balance on everything.

My dragoon Raiden just went and created his own backstory. Made it clear that only color he'll wear is pink, to match his pink tail and hair, started worshiping a 'plant primal' which at first was just a small plant in uldah goblet in a pot, then as FC switched locations to gridania the plant primal was now that giant tree and we decided that the small plant just used its primal powers and overtook goblet, changing it overnight.

On another awesome note relogging into a server after you've been gone a day or a week to all the greetings from FC friends is a great thing to see.

    Here's an awesome moment:

Crafting HQ Darksteel Ingots. Each one got to less than 25% quality when it was finished, five ingots of nine were HQ and I managed to get my Master Recipe Book for BSM.

Awesome moment of mine: Grinding out T4 like mad to craft Kirimu Coat on my bard, and finally completing it and wearing it

Getting many whispers later of how amazing I managed to make my character look :')
I never felt so happy with how my character looked before QQ

(Finally) did the ULTROS (I messed up and called him Ultima -_-) fight last night, for the first time (been busy with other things) and...

Me: Heyos. New to the fight but seen vids
    FC party mates: New too
Others not in FC pre-party: New
Me (in my head): Oh thank gad (didn't have to worry about rage quitters that could do the fight in their sleep) *Impromptu learning party*

We wiped a few times from being knocked out of the ring all at once (/slaps Typhon) but we got it
Overall, it was kind of fun Punishing, but not as much as say, Titan where once you're out, you uselessly stay a on the floor like a dropped pancake.
It was a good group, I believe

    Second:
Ran my Bard/Taiga through Labyrinth and ST and had a lot of fun! a lot more than I was expecting (I'm finding I like playing bard in 8-24 peep instances rather than the normal 4-man dungeons - which was all I was used to at that point). It was <3
(except when I Raise-accept-derped into a room wide AoE blast.... twice x.x;;; )

As WHM main suddenly playing a DPS, I always feel helpless to help out (my brain starts telling me to smash my Cure II button, but, er, I kinda can't) when shit is hitting the fan, other than try to help the healers from having to keep from raising my ass/reduce some of their heart attacks with Second Wind, bloodbath (which ever or both is avail for cross skill) and pots to be more self sufficient..... but as a BRD (...does anyone else read the class abbrev as "BIRD"? No? Oh, uh, er, me neither, ahahaha...... >.>;;; ), I can help out one way or another (at least with mp... as whm main, I will froth at the mouth for a mage's ballad), while still pin cushioning things. A bit of a 'fingers dipped in both worlds'.
(Now if only there was an HP regen song - then I'd be in love...)

I was originally WHM main, MNK secondary, but I'm starting to think WHM main, BRD secondary.... *_*

I story a lot of good pug runs, I know x_x
It's just a 'Faith in humanity restored!'

    Here, have another one!

So, I was on my BRD in ST, and between the party speak and the bosses spam-flapping their mouths in the chat, I'm hearing my FC mates talking about a pugged healer that was in their party while trying to do a dungeon for one of their relic books. It sounded bad. Really bad. Horror story bad. Multiple wipes bad. I'm usually the FC's healer, but I've been in a BRD mood lately.
When my ST run was done, I scrolled back up through the chat to a recent mention of kicking the decidedly trolling healer and then having me come in and take their place. I've done it a few times when an FC mate is in a pugged party and something happened. I switched to WHM.
It was decided, that with 4 mins left on the timer, there was no sense.
But then I misunderstood a comment and completely lost track of the 4 mins that went by (and apaprently, reality >_>). "You're up, Sase!" Oh goodiegoodie! +_+ *Hit "Join party in progress" and joined that dungeon.... completely forgetting the convo from 4 mins ago. Meaning my FC's dungeon had ended already. And I was still trying to get into theirs. |||OTL
Dropped in on a party in the exact same dungeon (Copperbell HM), whom were missing the same job (healer) in mere -seconds-. I assumed it was my FC's dungeon.
    Started to load....
Wait. These names are not my FC.
    Ohshit.
    Ah.
    Thats right.
    You dumbass. >_<
    "Heyo"
I can't bail on the poor folks. I can imagine how that would feel if I were in their place. I mention this to the FC - luckily they were cool with it (and probably needed to cool down after the sounds of that last run).

I also noticed, after a bit of time, that they hadn't cleared any of the bosses, so they were still near to the beginning. My first thoughts were, "okay... so why are they missing a healer..... was it..... bad? o_o Really bad? or... just the healer had to leave? D/Ced? Or maybe the healer was just bad?".
First good sign - the group seemed friendly in welcoming me before I'd even completely loaded into the dungeon. Okay, well, if they're friendly the whole way through, I can deal with a challenging run if it came down to it.
I catch up, buff everyone and off we go.

It was certainly different - but a good different. I've never run the dungeon quite like this - and it was in no means bad, just a different - faster - method. And I enjoyed that change of pace! Run passed ALL the things in the beginning. Drag ALL the things to the end of the bridge. Tank ALL the things after the second boss. xD
It made me happy - they asked if I was good for a big pull ('big' felt like an understatement right then), rather than just doing it and expecting godliness (like most pugged parties I have).
"yes! At least, I hope so..."
I was still a bit pull-shy from a failure in snow cloak and AV (...long story, mentioned in the 'stare blankly' thread) not too long ago and didn't want to confidently say yes, only to let them down like the last time... but I was reassured I could do it.

    The tank was beast.
    The DPS were beast.
I didn't even shed a moment of fear in that. *_*

    Faith in pugged humanity restored.

Super fast dungeon run (reminded me of the sub-13 minute Bray HM run I once had) and a super awesome group. Why their healer ran off, I'll never know... but more awesome peeps, for me! >
*Oprahs the commendations* You get a commendation, you get a commendation, everyone gets a commendation! *throws commendations like handfuls of confetti*

10/10 would derp into their dungeons again

Been farming Shiva EX these past few days with (finally) some good players. It's nice getting a solid 6 clears in a row with no deaths. I love the fight and am having a great time running it and equipping my alts with upgraded Shiva weapons. It's nice to take a break from raiding and just have good old fashioned extreme primal fun!

Yeah, this is how I do this one now too. It's so easy cause a lot of the stuff is squishy and some of the mobs actually reset. I'd say I think you landed in one of our runs, but I don't remember kicking/losing a healer for any.
