Average DPS expected from various jobs in T11

Well, this week I died twice on T11, so my numbers were crap. Kinda bummed, 'cuz I was hoping to see an improvement in my performance. We're finally doing some serious T12 attempts this week though, so I'll try to make up for my failure there.

On a positive note, my numbers jumped by almost 40 DPS on my first T10 clear vs my second, so I'm happy with that. I've been grinding the books for SMN so have spent a lot of time on the job, and think I have a better handle on it now. Thanks to everyone who gave me tips and advice. I'll let the thread get back on track now.

Quick question. I see a lot of people saying that their DPS is this much or that much, with LB. Just confirming, ppl usually add the LB DPS on their own DPS? Since it's possible to separate it from my own on act, I have never put it together. Should I?

I ask this because I usually see ppl claiming to get higher numbers than I can on boss fights, and I am always looking to aim this numbers, but always ignoring the (melee, in my case) LB DPS value.

No, they are noting that they used LB because it is increased downtime for them in the fight in terms of DPS readout. Once upon a time you couldn't separate the LB from your own person damage in parsers, but from the time it was added in it is common practice for people to not include LB damage into their personal damage.

Forgot to ask what I did this week on T11, but I pushed 500.7 DPS on T10 without any food.

Question for SMN (still in T11 progression, only ran it about 3x)

If I need to change to Ifrit to take down egg, do I switch back to Garuda after it dies? If I do need to go back to Garuda, is it worth the huge MP cost to summon Ifrit as I will use him for less than a minute anyway? Summoning the egis twice is a huge MP cost and I'm already having a hard time managing MP as it is

Also, should I reserve Enkindle for adds phase, or still use it with RS in opener? I'm getting asked to get the cube down by myself so was trying to reserve my AE stacks, all pet buffs for that phase. (Still needed help from the bard most of the time though as sphere dies faster )

If you are the only mage then you should stick with Garuda. Place Garuda in the center as she wont die from the death wall during adds and will be away from damage in that position. You wont need Ifrit just for the Egg since it does so quick, but make sure to move Garuda into range of the boss after the add phase, because it gets the same buff as the Egg, where you need to be in melee range to attack it.

Enkindle and Spur will be back up for the add phase if used for the opener. Raging Strikes doesn't effect Enkindle.

Edit: I save a set of Aetherflow stacks for the Add phase. That way you have two sets right off the bat to burn the adds down as fast as possible.

i.e. RS + Quelling - DOT the Cube, Contagion, Fester, Energy Drain, Fester while RS is up. Aetherflow will be back up shortly after the 2nd Fester.

Your Bard can put Venom/Wind Bite up for the extra BL procs, but that should be it for extra help.

even at less than i115 i was able to get the cube down solo pretty easily. just make sure dots are up and use all festers on it.

if using garuda, aim garuda at cube after putting her in the center during the the phase transition. she will take no dmg there.

if using ifrit, either sic him on the egg or the sphere since he will help soak dmg and will receive the same heals that the party normally gets

for the egg, i simply dot him up and follow him around as i ruin the cube. just by applying and re-applying your dots on the egg, he should easily be at 87-93% by the time the other 2 are down.

i wouldnt bother switching egis mid fight. just stick to whichever one you had at the beginning. the whole fight is doable from start to finish with either ifrit or garuda.

Thanks Lamia and Judge! I was heeling Garuda while running after the cube all the time >.> didn't know it can be left in the middle. Maybe that's why I had less than optimal dps on it.

Are you guys having mana issues in the fight , or using Energy Drain/ mana pots / bard song for it?
