T8 Towers; how DF does it/should do it

My only concern is when to trigger the AOE towers during the third phase to avoid eating damage during AF.

Back in the days when Eco was not a thing in SCoB and ppl weren't overgeared we were still able to adlo+stoneskin the person with the buff and he could eat the AOE and not wipe the party when blowing up. I would imagine that today it is even more possible.
