If you restrict the artist to only being able to draw things definitely in game, then the pictures are going to be a lot less interesting and not as wallpaper worthy...

I understand we would all love to be able to have every little thing from concept art... but with time comes more items; and its possible the direction for the event picture is 'draw this theme and please include the following *insert items* - other then that the artist may have just filled it with their own inspiration.

If a thread like this stirs up demand we might see Large trees and those gloves next year though~!

^^ So perhaps ask nicely instead of just getting aggravated about what is supposed to be a fun event with free prizes (note: there are a LOT of prizes in comparison to previous years).

I am honestly disappointed with the in-game offering this time around.
The boots look like plastic galoshes, at least they have a new shape to them. (to my knowledge plastic is an unknown in the game so far)
The gloves as people have pointed out are disappointing to say the least. If those are the gloves bound to the body piece then that is an extremely disappointing use of the already overused short glove model with a cheap re-texture. I am hoping you just had the poor taste to using them as a filler given the quantity of bare area the suit would show if you only screened the body piece itself. (An Ifrit band would have been a much better choice if that's the case)
The body itself looks like a poorly re-texture of the one we already have, and whoever though adding pleats to the fur liner, needs to take a look at a basic fashion book. There is a reason you wont find examples of this anywhere, because it doesn't work functionally or aesthetically.
The only semi redeeming item is the pants which I could take or leave.

Given the detail of the items available for events in the past I feel this is sub-par work. It obviously can't be fixed now, but given current concerns of people in recent events with quality comparisons this was an important miss. (Also you are just shooting yourself in the foot with potential cash shop sales later as you can get a close enough version of this from the item salvager for 58 gil)
