The trick isn't to try to watch it on your own runs, but to just open up the longest YouTube video of the run and pause when needed.

    Syrcus Tower

    Scylla
    • My hounds hunger for manflesh!
    • Ice of darkness, freeze mine enemies!
    • Blaze of darkness, scorch mine enemies!
    • Lightning of darkness, smite mine enemies!
    • Come thee forth, staff of eld!
    • You think me an aberration, do you!? Denials are futile - I can smell your vile thoughts!
    • You shall pay dearly for making mock of my appearance!
    • Scorch their insolent hides, my hounds!
    • The hounds...grow silent... Finally...I may rest...
The giant beings are Allag that were resurrected and modified by the scientist Amon. In the case of Acheron, it seems cloned, as well. Phlegethon led a popular revolt against the throne, so his punishment was to guard them for eternity in the Labyrinth as a modified warrior; perhaps the clones were part of that punishment. Anyway, Scylla's crimes, if there were any, aren't explored, that I know of, but he found her worthy of some pretty brutal experiments. What you see is what is left of her after being turned into one of the Allag's favorite weapons - a chimeric beast; a woman fused with many hounds.

    Glasya Labolas
    • You who would bare steel against the emperor. You shall not pass so long as I draw breath!
    • Activating support protocol...
    • Charging energy stores!
    • Ignorant savages! You will rue the day you set foot within this tower!
    • Energy stores replenished...
    • In the name of Emperor Xande, I shall annihilate you!
    • Activating defense protocol...
    • Be it steel or sorcery, your weapons shall not avail you!
    • A gift from Master Amon!
    • Curses... My powers are spent...
    • Behold the marvels of Allagan science!
    • That my defenses...could be breached...
Modeled after the classic Guardian, Glasya seems pretty stoked about his job. Perhaps he volunteered for this gig. He's also interfacing with Allag machines, though, so perhaps he himself was programmed to love his job. Either way, he's not very complicated, lore-wise. Emperor good, you bad, him plus machines = hopefully dead you.

    Amon
    • My, my, such unruly guests. 'Twould seem a little diversion is in order.
    • That will do for the opening act. Let the curtains rise for the main attraction!
    • Fireworks become you!
    • Fancy a spot of mummery?
    • Is it just me, or is it a mite chilly in here?
    • Inconceivable...
    • Beware, Your Majesty... Danger approaches...
Amon was eccentric as he was brutal. He also seems to have had his own resurrection methods used on himself. Why he came back in the form he did as part of a giant opera house is kind of up for grabs, but maybe it was his request, you know? You bring The First Emperor back from the dead, who's gonna deny you anything? You think the other Allag were standing around the water cooler like, "He succeeded!? Great. Now we're gonna have to just give him whatever he asks for." "You can't mean the opera thing." "Oh, gods, the opera thing."

    Xande
    • Mine is the power of darkness! Even the stars must bend to my will!
    • Begone, vermin!
    • I shall crush all who dare oppose me!
    • My defeat...means nothing... Darkness...shall devour all...
Xande never really got over dying the first time. He entreated with the Cloud of Darkness for more power, but found victory empty - just another reminder that all must eventually be consigned to oblivion, no matter what you've accomplished beforehand. His conclusion was that it'd be better for nothing to exist in the first place, and more or less felt that Cloud of Darkness could just have the world, for all he cared. I'm sure we'll learn more about this, soon...

    Tam-Tara

    Paiyo Reiyo
    • Urgh... I told them she was weird...but they wouldn't listen...
    • I...I can't move my body! Help me!<huff> <puff>
    • I thought I was done for... I owe you one...
    • I...I can't stand being here any longer. I'll see you outside!

    Edda
    • Look, Avere! All these people have come to make you a gift of their souls! Isn't that kind of them?
    • Even <your name here> is here! Now your dream of becoming like <him/her> can come true!
    • Thank you ever so much for coming to our wedding! Your body means the world to Avere!
    • Hm? Where are our witnesses? The ceremony can't begin without them!
    • Your wait is over, my love! All you have ever dreamed of is right here!
    • To have and to hold, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer...
    • In sickness and in health, to love and to cherish...till death us do part!
    • Oh, Avere! I can feel the strength of your love inside me!
    • What...what have you done? Aveeerrreee! Noooooo!
    • Nooo... Please don't go... Don't leave me alone...
    • Avere... My sun and stars...
    • Aaaaaaaaah!

    Edda's Journal

Scarcely a week has passed since we returned to the village, and already I cannot help thinking it was a mistake. There was a time when this place seemed just large enough. But having see the wider world, it all feels so insufferably confined that I often find myself struggling for breath. I know that it is the same for you, my love. The only time I feel truly alive is when I am adventuring with you. We are as caged birds in this backwater. So long as we remain here, we will never spread our wings and soar. So let us take to the road and create a lifetime of wonderful memories together.

I could not have hoped for a more romantic first visit to Mor Dhona. The crystals that pierce the landscape glowed in all their majesty, as if to celebrate our future together. And as we lazed by Silvertear Lake, watching the waves lapping at the shore, the sun took its leave behind the horizon, that we might enjoy a moment of intimacy. ‘I want us to be together forever.’ You first said these words to me years ago, and you said them to me again tonight. I am so happy to be with you.

You have been looking deathly pale of late. The scorching heat of Thanalan does not agree with you. You were never fond of hot climes, and it was a mistake to come here. Let us make for Coerthas, where the bracing air will put roses on your cheeks.

I know, I know - It is not easy being without a body. I promise to find one for you, but you must have patience. You are my husband-to-be, and there is nothing I would not do for you, so please, have faith in me. Give me time, my love, and I shall make you whole again, as you make me.

I am sorry to keep you waiting, my love, but we cannot afford to compromise--not where your new body is concerned. Ordinary adventurers die often enough, leaving their ordinary corpses, but if you are to be like <your name>, we cannot settle for anything less than extraordinary. But a strong body requires an equally strong soul--as I recently discovered. Now, you are probably worried that strong souls are rare, and so they are--but never fear, for we can create one ourselves! All we need is a plentiful supply of the weaker kind, and they are common indeed. Be patient just a little longer, my love, and all will be as you desire.

With the nigh endless supply of bodies here, I will make you well again, my love. Then we shall be wed as man and wife, and forever be joined as the gods intended. Of course, it is only fitting that a proper ceremony be held, with guests in attendance. i will send out invitations to all our friends. They will be so happy for us, I have no doubt they will jump at the chance to part with their souls.
