Eternal Bond Reservation - Broken

Hello,

Me and my girlfriend bought platinum wedding bands a few days ago. We did the quests and got to the point where we had to reserve a ceremony.

We found out that we couldn't do it until FRI at 4AM EST.

We set our alarm to 3:55AM and logged in right away. 4AM hit and we immediately tried to get the day and time we wanted, but of course someone was faster.

Anyways, my problem with this is as follows...

1. In order to even have a chance right now to get prime days/times, you will have to wake up every FRI at 3:55AM to even have a chance. This might be OK for people who don't work or people who work mid-shifts.
1a. This basically alienates the entire daytime working class from getting the good days/times until all the other classes get married.

2. We spent $40.00, but will now be forced to get married in the early morning or late night because of the issue above. By the time a daytime worker can actually get a prime-time spot, weddings will be old news and no one will want to set aside 1-2 hours to go to ours.
2b. This is very disappointing and made my girlfriend very upset. We spent $40.00 and were really excited and looking forward to inviting all of our friends that are online during peak times, but now we cant.

3. Platinum bands get first priority on reservation times. This means that anyone with a lesser package, will face the above two issues for even longer.
3b. Sure we all could reserve a time for 2AM - 8AM, but who would want to attend it at that time if all your friends work during the day or would be asleep?

In conclusion, I feel that the reservation time system is broken and should not have been implemented. A better system would have been to just give the couple a item that initiates the wedding whenever they feel like it.

Square Enix and Yoshida, please fix this and make the wedding ceremony start time to the discretion of the couple. I see no reason to have this 2 hour segment system.

It was just released. Like any other new feature, it will be hard to use for awhile, as 'everyone' is clamoring for it, and with it's limited time slot nature, even more so.

Give it a couple weeks. It'll get easier.

It's not really broken though. The problem is (in my opinion anyways) that it is new content that many thousands of players have been waiting for for months. Therefore, the site is being flooded with requests all at once. It's like people waiting on a Black Friday sale. When the doors open, everyone rushes in and many get trampled. Just be patient and everything will work out.

It just doesnt make sense that the servers can handle a basically unlimited amount of dungeon instances, but it can only support 1 wedding instance every two hours.

You can edit your posts to go over the caps. Also they kinda had to have some form of registration system so that way your guests could attend. Including multiple chapels in each of the city states might have alleviate some of the registration stress but they'd have to commit more resources to make that happen. FFXIV developers always seem to go the cheap route either because they think they can get away with it or that they underestimated the appeal of their product similar to what happened during game launch.

Having multiple wedding instances would actually be more difficult to implement than simply queing for a dungeon because the guests also have to be programmed to go to their proper instances even if they arrive late. So it would be harder to implement than the current preformed party que.
