Cash Shop: Stifling development.

I've only bought 1 minion from the cash shop (I was drunk, thought it was a good idea) I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything, the game feels the same for me as it did before the shop.

Cash Shop has made one mistake. Their heard our plea. I just hope they fix it soon. Because warning ppl means nothing.
Cash Shop is and must be for ever optional.
So each object from it must be bound, personal, unique, not mean to be sold, trade, ect ect ect
If they do this. Everything on the Cash Shop will be optional.
I hope they stop making stuff from the lore of the game in the Cash Shop. Ida Papalymo and now Uriange are ppl we speak and use in quest IN THE GAME. They should be available IN THE GAME and not IN THE CASH SHOP.
They can put baby tiger, baby cat or whatever they want in the cash shop.
Samething for the mount. We fought Odin in the game so it's a heart break to see his mount in the cash shop. They should put it in the game against 999 odin token and not in the cash shop.
They can put in the cash shop a double place chocobo or a rainbow chocobo or big grenado mount. Whatever they want but no stuff from big mobs we fought hardly in the game.
I just hope they never put Fenrir bard or mount in the cash shop.

Do you feel your subscription dollars are getting their worth? If you cut out all the content from the cash shop, are you getting enough bang for your buck?

Are you able to access the game? If Yes: You are getting your sub's worth.

If no: Then you're obviously not paying the sub or have no time to play.

Can you access the content in game that is under the 'Duty Finder' menu or a ! over NPC's heads? If Yes: You're getting your subs worth. If No: Rinse and Repeat that you're not playing or subbed.

I'm worried that new game systems like a ingame Bestiary

This would sooner be a physical item sold in their shop than it would be an "in-game system." You're worrying more about XIV becoming F2P/Freemium which says a lot about the state of the game.

I totally understand you and I have to admit that I share your fears.... I honestly and deep in my soul wish you're wrong... But right now thinking cold... I don't think you're so wrong at all, sadly. Let's hope for something to prove us wrong.

I'd add it to the link collection of my thread, not as a P2W whine thread, rather, just as a worry thread about the direction the cash shop is taking, just if you're right with me adding it there, of course.

Seasonal Outfits: Admittedly this one was a little disappointing to me, as there were a couple holidays i missed that have things i want and now i gotta pay for em...but oh well. They were already in the game for free, and everyone had a chance to get them for free. Now, they cost money. It's actually a good business decision, even if people are unhappy. Makes me appreciate the items i got, though.

At least you can still buy the old santa set for some thousand gil in the MB.

WOW cash shop opens 2009 has a total of 25 items to buy, not including the service items.

9 mounts
5 helms

FF14 cash shop opens 2014 has a total of 18 items to buy, not including the service items.
3 dyes
3 suits
4 helms
4 minions
1 mount
2 costumes
"1" event -technically 2 options but giving them the benefit of the doubt and counted it as 1.

WOW shop open roughly 5 years
FF14 shop open for a few months wait till x-mas it will have more stuff on it than the WOW shop in a huge fraction of the time.

This was a major factor for me on deciding if my sub was worth it anymore, and what to expect for the future.
I think the pace at which stuff is getting added to the cash shop needs to be seriously looked at.

Don't even know what this is or what it'll do, but it's interesting to have a premium next to green and red, instead of gold, no? Smells like cash shop if you ask me... "during this season of giving, it is the thought that counts" - so they think we give them our money and they can get away with it, or what?

I very much dislike the cash shop. As others have pointed out before it makes me feel like a second class citizen even though I pay the same subscription as every one else. Plus I am forced to have a 'discussion' with my bond partner because she doesn't mind buying stuff in the cash shop and I don't want to give SE any impression that I"m slightly OK with the cash shop.
