Goodbye, it's already been done, crafting and gathering gear says "hello"Whenever SE makes it so that the highest i-level gear available in the game at any given moment can be traded and/or sold on the MB, then I will worry about "P2W" (outside of people selling runs of certain instances).
...A time that I am pretty confident will never come.
Hmmmm.....
Edit to add: not to mention with the eternal bond (RMT edition) Gil to get that crafter/gatherer gear is indirectly in the cash shop.Whenever SE makes it so that the highest i-level gear available in the game at any given moment can be traded and/or sold on the MB, then I will worry about "P2W" (outside of people selling runs of certain instances).

Then they should say what they mean. Though if that is the case, then they are ok with pay to win as long as it's not in "their" content. A rather selfish point of view, don't you think? I would rather assume that they aren't selfish until such point as they prove otherwise.

Whatever it takes to twist things so SE and everyone who bought anything from the Shop is labelled as evil and should be trotted off for a death sentence huh?
Sorry, but you are the one stating I should infer meanings that weren't written.
As I stated above, if that is what they meant, then they should state such. Circular arguments, gotta love em.
Edit to add: to further stamp on this circular argument, even if we assume they meant specifically endgame gear, my point still stands. For crafters and gatherers those BiS gear pieces ARE endgame for those roles.

15 pages in and SE... nope, still hasn't fixed it, good. Please, do keep throwing temper tantrums and praying for a patch, this is amusing.
I DID:
Dreadwyrm gear can't be traded or sold. (I'm keeping DoH/DoL gear out of this. My fault for not stating that before.)
"Being selfish" has nothing to do with the topic at hand. Ad hominems are no better than a circular argument.
I'm not "ok with P2W", because you don't "win" anything from selling a bracelet. No game mechanics are changed, the gil you acquire doesn't buy gear that makes the game's hardest content easy, the gil also doesn't buy gear that makes PvP easy.
IF it did any of those things, that would be P2W. But it doesn't, so it's not.
