If Chocobo Racing is more than a mere point-and-click (like how Chocobo Training is...).

If Triple Triad let's you play NPC's & compete in SE-sanctioned tournaments.

If Triple Triad isn't tainted by the Cash Shop imbalancing the game with rare or exclusive cards.

If it has a lot of throwbacks to FFVII.

If a lot of the new mini-games and such can be spectated.

If players can bet on the Chocobo races.

If there are a lot more replayable mini-games that can be played with friends other than just Chocobo Racing and Triple Triad (rock-paper-scissors boxing against friends ftw).

Co-Op or Vs. Motorcycle Race & Snowboarding (8-person Snowboarding would be awesome...).

In Phantasy Star Universe they had a huge roulette wheel in the casino, and everyone could stand around it and place their coins directly of the numbers they wanted. It was one of my favorite time sinks in the game, so I'd like to see something similar.

OFC it will have cash shop aspect. It is too hyped content from players side so there is no reason to believe that SE will keep their hands out of our pockets. I just hope it will be something that needs only one time purchase like sleipnir, minions and marriage rather than card bundles..

- a choice selection of basic casino mini-games: slot machines, roulette that you can play with other players, some stuff like that.
- snowboarding game
- chocobo racing where you can take place in the race and actually control a chocobo
- a music rhythm game sort of like FF Theatrhythm.
- maybe a separate thing, but being able to fight in the coliseum to get rewards.

Every time I have played any kind of mini-game in a FF entry, it has been an utterly eye-stabbing, teeth-grinding, skin-peeling experience. That is to say, I've loathed it. (One of the worse ones of all being Sphere Break, imo...) So when I first heard that Gold Saucer might come to FF14, my response was just a resounding "meh".

If they want my attention, it has to have some ridiculously awesome rewards.

I doubt it would be possible, logistically, but 8v8 blitzball could be amazing, if done right.

Sphere break could be a fun time-waster, or that clock-based mini-game from XIII-2. Snowboarding would be great, but I'd expect them to save that for Ishgard.
