Exactly this. Or before you use them have an extra warning pop up: your bracelets are of different ranks, if you continue you will not receive the ceremony benefits or items of [gold/platinum]. Do you still wish to proceed?

As it is now it's unclear, confusing and very unfair.

Either the description or the way it's implemented in game needs to change.
