Sorry for my ignorant post but since when did gil give the necessary skill required to do anything? Since when was being server first Zodiac Relic actually important? And since when did gil actually matter? Sure you can say "materia" and "buying those fancy crafted armors" but they're not better than things you can earn ingame, I suppose you need skill for that but again, buying gear doesn't give you skill automatically, so I'm entirely lost on how any of this matters. :S
