Selling of Mog Station items for gil

So I've been noticing a large number of people on PF selling the new mogstation dyes and promise bracelets for exorbitant amounts of gil. I understand that the trading of these items has been apparently given approval by GM - but how exactly is this different from RMT? If I buy a mogstation item for $20 and sell it in-game for 6M gil, aren't I just effectively buying $20 of gil? Is this okay because now SE is profiting rather than a 3rd party? I'm personally very disappointed that this has not been determined as against the ToS and feel that SE really might as well just be selling gil on the mogstation. Feel free to weigh in - I understand that the counter argument is "but the GM said I could" but I can't be the only person who thinks this is pretty disgusting and I hope this gets some serious attention from admin.

It IS disgusting and the fact that people are so passive to allow it 'since its been going on for awhile with other games, it is normal and acceptable.' Just cause something is going on for awhile doesn't make it right.

Thanks for the links, but as Bayohne is saying, if it keeps coming up in topics and people keep doing this then they'll have to fix it; so although another thread might seem redundant I hope this nonsense gets as much exposure as it possibly can.

They are breaking the experience of a lot of players who don't want to feel obligated to resort to RMT in order to keep up on any field of progression.

we would like players to stop selling and trading the bracelets for gil so that they can continue to be used for their intended purpose.

That doesn't mean people shouldn't voice their concern for the game we all love (to hate, vice versa).

I am a cash shop advocate through and through, with the current hot issue of official RMT giving me the kick of the month. But, I understand that a lot of people have legitimate concerns over where this is all heading.
