Housing will when they add the FC airships no? also the housing "forges" (I guess you can call them for lack of a better term) that let help you level a low level craft slightly faster..I think those benefit you a little bit in game..

Buying Premium/Gold plans selling them to players and saving up that gil will give you not only the edge to buy a House (would need to be a FC house for the airship)
But it will give you a huge boost over other players in the crafting end game as well. Letting you buy Artisan gear and Materia for this gear.

And since the airship system will require crafting, you could take advantage of this system to produce an airship faster.
Although Building an airship is a group effort, so you would need to gear up people in your FC as well

It is very funny. As much as I despise RMT, at least they have the good sense to turn pixels into dollars, you can fault their ethics, but you can not fault their rationality. However to spend $10 to $40 and turn that into a handful of gil, that is doing the exact opposite of what the RMT gil sellers are doing. Are people crazy or something? I may be gutless and not want to risk real money just to get some gil and not jump in on this speculation, but seriously how long can this go on, not every player wants to do the wedding thing and if they want to save real money they will probably shop for the lowest bidder.

Ok, so I have been pro-cash shop since all this started...but seeing everyone now selling these bands seems a bit much. Can't say I agree now.

Um so I asked a GM as well, just to double check and I'll reiterate what they said:

We understand the serious nature of such advertisements, however selling the Bonus items of the Mog Station for Gils in game is not a voilation against the Terms of Service, hence is not considered as RMT.

Looks like they might get rid of the feature soon via GM post:

"As you know, the promise wristlets were designed to be tradable so that one person would be able to purchase a pair of wristlets and gift one to their partner.

While the trading and selling of these items for gil is not against the terms of service, in the event this type of trend continues and topics continue to arise regarding whether or not this is considered real-money trading, we will have no choice but to change the design of this system. Therefore we would like players to stop selling and trading the bracelets for gil so that they can continue to be used for their intended purpose."

Well after that happens the anti cash shop exclusive brigade should be out with greater fury. I don't think SE was dumb enough to realize that people wouldn't sell it for gil, they were just hoping that people wouldn't complain about it so much.

Of course people would complain(and will continue to complain) about it, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to know the system is flawed.
That post confirms people will not get banned for selling premium/gold plans, so people are going to start selling them even more to try and get as much gil as they can until the system is changed.

Bayohne asking people politely to stop isn't going to change things if there is no penalty.

I'm not too sure about that to be fair. The Japanese community in general is vastly different from that in the western world. Just take a look on as to how hunts went down on many Japanese servers and how they went down on many western servers. Where people waited for an eternity to pull on some JP servers (maybe all?) the rage and greed on western servers was and still is very strong around these. And this isn't the first MMO in which that is the case. Which makes me wonder whether such sells for gil are as commonly present on JP servers as well or not.

All this means is people are going to jump on the bandwagon to get maximum penetration of the current state of the system before they can patch or change it. So I expect the number to increase exponentially now.
