Nah, it makes sense to me as is. You can get married in game for free. You can beat bosses in game for free. The reward for beating the boss was the title. The reward for getting married is all of the items, dress, housing item, mount, etc. You don't need a title for the accomplishment of beating Savage's boss, just like you don't need the "extra stuff" from the wedding. The point is, where do you draw the line? What's content to you?
The poster was arguing an event the player can participate in AND rewards is content. The problem is, people have different views of content b/c different content appeals to different people. When it's content that doesn't appeal to you (you being general), people tend to argue against those it does matter to. Thus the example since most players care about "endgame."
The cash shop didn't just magically pop up because the community supported it. It was an inevitability to come, most if not all games have micro transactions. SE isn't dumb they see how the gaming industry has been trending for years and are capitalizing on it. If the cash shop wasn't here you would probably get the free watered down wedding and that would be it. Instead they decided to put a more elaborate version on the cash shop.Do you think those ideas suddenly popped up and were developed between October and 2.45? There has been concept art for Eternal Bond for at least a year, and those things were developed with the sub money we all pay. Had the community not shown support for a cash shop,or if they had not just accepted it because 'it doesn't affect what I like!', then they would have been implemented without being in the cash shop.
As for Odin's mount yes it may be bad that they put it on the cash shop after you were able to get it for free but honestly does it really break the game? Does it really upset you that much?

i beg to differ sir, the mount was advertise something like 4-6 month ago, then this content was already in creation, it was in game anyway, the point is they have decide to make people pay for it, not one time... but two time, nothing less. one time per person. the price of the platinum version is almost as expensive than the game itself... if that only don't make you wonder why this price?
because the best is this, the difference between the gold and the platinum are one prism and one clothing....for the double price of the gold.
Yes it upsets me , because people are being ripped off^^ and they dont even notice it^^The cash shop didn't just magically pop up because the community supported it. That is fine, you are free to differ. Advertising the mount? I don't recall them saying that it would be available through the game at any point. I recall pictures when they initially announced Eternal Bond, but nothing about you getting a free mount with the ceremony.i beg to differ sir, the mount was advertise something like 4-6 month ago, then this content was already in creation, it was in game anyway, the point is they have decide to make people pay for it, not one time... but two time, nothing less. one time per person. the price of the platinum version is almost as expensive than the game itself... if that only don't make you wonder why this price?

No one is, but thanks![]()
Yes because a handful of items on the cash shop has totally ruined this game now for everyone. Oh won't someone please think of the children.
Probably not, because content like this has to be developed. In order to develop it the company, SE, has to pay developers to put content into the game. They are fairly overwhelmed with keeping us up with new patches and Heavensward. To put these features in requires time and money that would detract from making new content in forms of playable content. So no, had they not be in cash shop I doubt they would have been put in at all, they've got their hands full keeping playable content current.
Just because they teased the wedding feature months ago does not mean then intended for it initially to be free. Most likely they planned from the outset that this would be a paid feature. It's not like they woke up during the Fanfest and decided to charge for things.
