I've read all of the requirements of this, and one thing irritates me all to hell. I'm fine with the RNG dungeons, and I am fine with buying the merchant items with Gil/Seals/Soldiery, but I am NOT fine with us now requiring to have desynth leveled or god awful amounts of money just to get a single item for the relic. The mats on my server alone are 2-6 mil each. 2-6 MILLION GIL EACH. For those of us who aren't rich or have leveled crafters, this quest is near-impossible for us.
