How bad is Worm of Nym? None were ever sold on MB on my server and I almost have the 351 Gathering to fish it

It's in Bronze Lake shallows, during a thunderstorm with butterworm bait, and iLVL 80, so whatever gathering amount coincides with that ... or possibly our Retainers might actually do us right for once with their incessant desire to bring us fish
One thing that I am happy about is that you can unlock the quests with a Nexus, but grinding the dungeons does not require a Nexus to be equipped, nor even running them on the same job for that matter.

All I can say is, I'm glad I do coil and glad we are a couple percentage points away from downing t13.

Also glad i didnt finish mnk relic, cause kaiser knuckles are ugly.

As daunting as these requirements seem, I'm still going to go for it for the custom-secondary stats. It's pretty much this and FCOB for me right now... still going to glamour them into my Serpent Elite Knives, though.

Still do not even have my first novus complete as wanted to max stat it but just stupid expensive.
This latest Relic upgrade, wow how utterly lame, what are SE thinking
I for one do not like crafting much at all.... Ixali Tribe crafts were already annoying
Poetic weapon i think for me now, just not worth it anymore for a weapon that most likely when all said and done may not even be bis

They had to have increased the bite rates on the Worm of Nym and Aetherlouse. I just went out and tried to catch some for a friend, and caught an HQ Worm within 30 seconds of arriving, and proceeded to catch another, then have another bite and get away before time ran out. Went to go try my hand at Aetherlouse, not expecting anything the first time there ... caught 5 Aetherlouses with 2 of them HQ and no get-aways in just half the alotted time. Blew my mind.

I got my nexus, don't think I'm doing this one, just isn't worth the time. Gear progresses so fast in this game that by the time you do it, it's already outdated.

I can understand the grind. The original relic quest can be done in a few hours. They came up with something to take longer. But they went too far to the other extreme. If they can strike a balance in the middle, it wouldn't be so bad.

Yeah, I'm not going to shell out 10-15 mil in Det IV and Crit IV to finish out my Novus to start my Nexus where you have to waste more money and hope that RNGsus bless me with the Atma rate drops in the old dungeons and on top of that.... crafting. HA Spear and Diamond Spear are much easier to get.

Materia costs are ridiculous. SE really needs to provide some relief given materia IV's at this point are just too costly. On top of that as you get into the melding process the success rates drop. There are certainly lots of people who simply can't afford it.

It can be done in a few hours NOW. Not then. HM primals used to be hard. Well, Titan did.
