I'll try to find the interview, but basically Yoshi P. was asked why the different races in ARR don't have unique stances and animation like they did in FFXI. His answer was basically that the resources needed to make all the different animations unique would be counterproductive to them developing ARR in their "new" vision. During the closed and open beta the lack of difference was actually a major thing people bitched about and if I remember correctly it was placed in the forums at that time as an addressed issue.


I can understand if this was said in beta since over the past year and before the launch they've added a ton of QoL (quality of life) changes that needed to be implemented. But now we're at the end of a lot of those needed updates (obiviously some still needed). Something like this could now be put into action and like I said before it is already in the game to a certain degree. The pics below show what I'm talking about.
