So which is it? Quitting or staying? I think you may be a bit confused because you have another thread running along side of this one asking for a dungeon party.

I think the problem isn't the system, its that grinding them is so unbearably BORING. How many times have you repeated the same regional leves over and over again? How many times have you joined that Behest and killed the EXACT same monsters as last time?
In FFXI we picked ourselves out a nice spot amongst the monsters and started laying waste to large chunks of the scenery. It was fast-paced, tactical and fun. Mobs respawned fairly quickly and had a good coverage allowing for plenty of parties to be in one area. There were conquest points to be earned by doing well, there were plentiful rank missions to take part in. There were incredible storyline quests to enjoy. The list goes on.
I get that its early days (figuratively speaking) and they're concentrating on getting the balance right for the new systems, but its been like this largely from day one. Levelling doesn't feel nearly as rewarding as it should, and that's largely due to the repetition of levequests you'll undoubtedly come across. Even exploration is filled with repetition as you come across copy-pasted scenery!
I was bitterly defending of this game when it was released, to the point of fangirlism. Having been in the grind for so long though, im getting tired of the fight. I desperately cling to the hope that the new combat system will make everything better, but the recent MP changes felt like a slap in the face to all pure mages! It is almost as if they're trying to encourage everyone to pick a melee job instead! Well, with the way things are going, they may well get their wish!
I want to love this game, not use it as a passing diversion when im bored. I just haven't been able to relight that spark of enthusiasm for a while.
I'm with this guy. ^
@Shy
Really they have not made it harder for you. They made it easier, you just have to know what needs to be done.
You can solo leves, with 4-5 star rating, in a short amount of time for fairly good sp. Supplement that with Behest when they are up and you can get in them at the camps.
Next i would do quests and grind mobs, and/or even find SP groups. (Ask around in the LS im sure you are not the only person who wants SP.)
You might be about the right rank to do Toto for decent sp and some rewards.
The options are on the table. And NO sp was not nerfed it was adjusted to be recieved in different ways. And there will be more adjustments made to the leves, with the addition of hamlets, and beastmen strongholds there should always be plenty of options for you to gain SP.

I'm a rank 31 Marauder was 28 before VU and I see no problem with the new progression system. It's just more balance and while I guess they made some mistake with 20-30 the last 2 leves to 30 didn't feel bad to me.You said you explained your logic in the first post but all you said was I"m quittin cause I can't level DoM/DoW, though last I checked I got 3 levels on my DoM so maybe your game is just bugged. You should explain in better detail in your first post as to what the exact issue is. If your issue is that before I was getting 5k a leve and now all I"m getting is 1-3k a leve then you aren't aware of what balance is. In order to remove fatigue from the game they need to balance it so that people aren't 50 in a week. So while you are no longer effected by fatigue you are now truly free to get to rank 50 at your own pace without being pigeon-held by fatigue kicking in. So if one week you have more time to spare you can get a few more xp in rather then hitting fatigue and having nothing else to do in game with your spare time.Why would you call it a ragequit. You are only rank 22, what do you even know about this game? I've explained my logic behind it very well, and I'd say it's very reasonable. There is no rage in my quitting. If anything, it's more of a reluctant quit.
Besides, I already stated why I'm posting a new thread. So it's more likely that the mods will see how many people they are losing.
How about you go out there and rank up, and troll less. I'd be surprised if you can even make it to rank 30 conj before you give up with this current system.
Quitting threads are pretty lame especially when there isn't a fine detail as to why they are quitting other then claiming they can't level their battle classes anymore. If you really want SE to listen to your complaints you should actually give them details as to what the issue is.
