Well I think they should have the option and open dresses to both genders, but SINCE I plan to be having a Platinum Package wedding (on my main who is a boy kitty - even though I am a female gamer).

Since I'm forking over real cash - I should have the option to wear that dress dammit. Gender locking sucks.. ¬_¬

Next 2.5 wish. Add special eternal bond outfits without gender lock to the cash shop...

(And hell no, I'm not a cash shop supporter)

Though... the description only says you need to wear the wristlets, so if you can just choose to ignore the special dress nonsense, I'd just go in the Best Man suit anyway.

Now the suit being gender locked...that's a bit silly. Maybe. Though the same reasoning exists.
Honestly, this comes down to double standards. A lot of male characters started wearing the All-classes version of the Spring Skirt for several reasons - whether to make the Yukata seem more like Kimono, or to extend the lines of a pre-existing robe, or just because they wanted to wear a skirt! I haven't seen any backlash against them, it's been fairly neutral in my experience. The only bit of teasing I see is "I'm wearing panties under here... why don't they match my skirt!?"

A huge amount of the girl gamers I know that play this have chosen to play male characters (and many of them male Miqo'te!). Many of them would also like to wear some of the female-exclusive gear as well. Even if it renders out a bit differently, it'd still be a nice option.

Which is an excellent point... It should be free, but especially characters who pay for gold/plat bond plans should have the choice to wear the attire of their choosing. Just imagine if you paid $10k real money for your ceremony, and your family/friends/whatever/wedding planner forced you to wear something you didn't want to, because of tradition or *reasons*, etc.

I approve of No gender-locked clothing. Yeah, men can have skimpy clothing in this game, but not nearly as much as the ladies have it. (i'm sorry that your pants for some gear sets randomly turn in to panties. ._.; )
I'd at least think it'd be good to make it so that everyone can wear a DRESS or a darned Tux, i mean come on.

I'm kind of femmy, so I want to wear the dress. And I doubt I'll be participating in the ceremony any time... I don't have any special someone, and prospects look dim from here. But I support unlocking the garments for the fundamental principle of the thing.

As an aside... did anyone else think the models in the demo video looked like the healer and her dead boyfriend from the Tamtara (HM) story line?

honestly, it kind of seems a bit weird to allow the Best Man suit to be unisex, but not the marriage suit. and I also don't see them changing this any time soon either :/
