Has it been confirmed anywhere that these dyes won't be in the game? Either now, or in another coming patch...

I have been unlucky and not gotten any of the dyes from my retainer, so I feel kind of gated from those too, but I'm not whining about it... At least wait and see how much they will cost, and how it's implemented once bought.

The Gold option for Wedding is just some extra fluff that most people will probably not care about, and if they do, they should only get married once anyway, so spending some money if they absolutely think it's that important, shouldn't be an issue.

I don't really like the idea of a cash shop, but in the end, I won't really care once I'm playing... Not unless it's pay to win, or some vanity gear that's not obtainable in the game.

This. If you don't like it, quit. If you're sick of seeing people telling you to quit if you don't like it, take the hint and quit.
It's the way the industry is, and the only way to make your opinion heard is to speak with your wallet. And do it soon. If you dilly dally and give them money, you are supporting something you don't like.
I know it sounds harsh, but that's simply the best answer you have. SE will not remove the cash shop. They will not stop adding items to it. If this idea bugs you and makes you doubt the game's direction, then quit.

Based on your character I see you're in High Allagan gear, also known as Second Coil of Bahamut gear - raid content for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Why did you choose to do this content? I mean it's optional content and you don't need gear because it's optional, so why did you choose to get the gear?

You know..you kind of made the choice to do the content and get the gear, much like you make the choice here to use the cash shop or not. The simple act of logging on is optional if we're going to play that card.

Silence can speak louder than a thousand words. Or characters, in this case.
If people spend all their time complaining, it becomes white noise. If people actually follow through and quit or do SOMETHING other than complain, then it says something. Nothing will change as long as the company responsible for a game believes your words are empty. Look at EVE. The players literally could not afford to quit, but when their company decided to make changes they didn't like, they did more than complain about it on forums. They actually DID something.
And there are a lot of options for gaming if you're willing to accept the reality that you will NOT escape microtransactions if you want to play something that's online. The sooner you accept it, the sooner you can have fun again.
Or quit. That's always an option.

Just because you all are paying subs does not entitled you to every single item in game. Like I've stated in the Eternal Bond whining thread, read the ToS. It's there for a reason and I believe you have to agree and accept it to play this game.

Yep, you're right. Which is why I'm arguing against the cash shop in any and all forms instead of pretending what I'm interested in is somehow "more important" or "less optional" than what someone else is.
