This. If you don't like it, quit. If you're sick of seeing people telling you to quit if you don't like it, take the hint and quit.
It's the way the industry is, and the only way to make your opinion heard is to speak with your wallet. And do it soon. If you dilly dally and give them money, you are supporting something you don't like.
I know it sounds harsh, but that's simply the best answer you have. SE will not remove the cash shop. They will not stop adding items to it. If this idea bugs you and makes you doubt the game's direction, then quit.

Meaning leveling, gear, exp, crafting are all things you aren't forced to participate in so why not add them to the cash shop too? You're not forced into anything, and everything you do in this game is optional because the game itself is optional so trying to argue what doesn't affect you or what you aren't interested in is fine in the cash shop is stupid. If that's the case then everything belongs in the cash shop, and make no mistake it will end up there eventually too.

Some people play this game for the glamours. Having them gated behind a cash shop basically means they don't matter in the grand scheme of things. I for one, do not want to see custom outfits gated behind cash shop at all. That will give them all the reason in the world to be lazy with the quality of non-cash shop outfits. Also, I sincerely hope they realize the error of their ways and next path come up with some IN-GAME methods of acquiring these metallic dyes.

Cash shop should only be a method of acquiring items ASAP/instantly. There should always be alternate in-game methods of obtaining any item released on cash shop. Otherwise, it's extremely unfair to those who don't agree or refuse to pay extra for things that should already be included.
