Duty finder penalty for withdrawing is annoying.

I've had someone withdraw from queue costing me much longer than 45 seconds, plus it takes 3 times for the penalty. 1 withdraw has cost me well over 10 minutes before getting the full party to have a 2nd withdraw on a few occasions. You're not stranded in the dungeon for 2 hours, you can leave without penalty if the party isn't full and requeue.

You don't lose your place in queue if someone hits withdraw.

You definitely lose your place in queue if the tank leaves from the dungeon and you have to leave and requeue.

Which part of this is unclear or doesn't make sense?

Actually you do lose your place a little. While your party is waiting for full confirmation, the next group starts to fill up. So if you're a dps, it's not uncommon for 4 more dps to go ahead of you, and you need to wait for that group to fill up, then 2 more tanks and healers. For things like EX primals, this can be well over 10 minutes.

Nothing wrong with the withdraw penalty at all i have yet to get the penalty but thats because i never que until im rdy to play.In premades we always do a ready check

What part of my post did you people not get? I am talking about leaders queuing then someone else withdrawing getting everyone 1 strike. Doesn't matter if there was a ready check. A RC doesn't prevent someone from withdrawing. I have also gotten the penalty for zero reason; did not leave a duty and did not withdraw on the popup. My guess is it takes a few seconds for the popup after the party is formed, withdrawing during that time gives you a strike. This can be seen by clicking on Duty status in the quest log.

The main purpose of it was to get rid of DF trolls, just put a 30 minute CD on the strikes or get rid of it.

The one that wastes the 2hr queue for dps on low level roulette is worse, obviously, since they are now stranded in a dungeon and a tank may never join, as opposed to being inconvenienced for 45 seconds but still having their place in queue.

They both waste time. Maybe you don't see it because you have 10 seconds queues but it's not fun to sit there watching queue pop then watching somebody withdraw over and over because they want a run in progress. People abusing withdraw is the whole reason this penalty exists and the only ones complaining are the ones who want to abuse withdraw.
