If you watch that they show the craftman's workshop for the FC. And Yoshi P talks about crafting a full size house and being able to "plop it down". So they have to have something in store on changes to housing area's. Because I don't see a small house crafting a mansion in their basement then 'plopping it down' in the small sized plot area. Will have to see what they plan to do in the future tho in patch notes/live letters.

Long time ago, YoshiP said FC would build their airships in their basements. And then, I build an airship in Ixali Daily Quests...
So for this time, I suspect it would be a new beast tribe quests, building houses and plop to their lands... ^^;

Well, no, Yoshi still talks about building airships in FC basements as a part of 3.0 content. That's why we don't have it yet.

If you play on a highly populated legacy server, shouldn't high demand be expected? They can't just snap their fingers and give everyone a house plot, these things take time and resources, which are being allocated twards other (more important) things atm. I think if you switched to a different world you can find some open plots.

They should have anticipated high demand on highly populated legacy servers.There should be more plots available on these worlds not this one size fits all approach.

I don't expect them to snap their fingers but I do expect them to say they are still working on it not make statements like, "...we have met the demand..." & "...sometime in the future...".

Aspects of the game that are "more important" to you are not necessarily the same for me. This Housing issue is very important to me, my daughter and our small Free Company.

So I should transfer off the World I have been on since 1.0, sacrifice a large percentage of my gil, leave the friends I've made and restart our Free Company from scratch in order to maybe find a plot of land? No. SE needs to fix this not just for me but everyone that is being left out.

Q23: In the expansion we will be going to Ishgard, but will you be implementing housing areas in Ishgard as well?

A23: The war between humans and dragons is still being fought in Ishgard and it’s not really a safe place to live, so we will not be implementing housing areas at the beginning of the expansion. While we may implement it at some point in the 3.0 series, we aren’t at the point where we can promise any kind of time frame.

Q26: Large size houses feel kind of empty. Can you increase the limit on the amount of furnishings that can be placed in houses?

A26: We had been prioritizing the addition of land and since we do not know exactly how much of a demand there is we have not been able to do anything with this. This is not to say that we will stop adding land in the future; however, I feel we’ve filled the demand with the expansion areas, so I’m thinking it’s about time to enhance the utilities for each house. The team in charge of this, however, is currently working on the Gold Saucer and Free Company crafting, so implementation would take place after this.

There are no new housing areas in Hevensward. He is talking about the recent land expansion unless we get an official Dev Response that says otherwise.

All I am asking for is Official confirmation if they will be adding more small plots and when.

Well, as of last week, I'm officially setteled on a new server and saving my tank money to go all the way and buy a larg plot JUST FOR MY SELF. Excessive? Probably. Time consuming? Oh heck yes, but less so than atmas. Will it be worth it? I think so considering the last 3 FCs I joined before moving servers all screwed me in preaty much the same way. So I'll save up the 45-80 mil my self. Level my Gatherers and Crafters along the way And SUCK! IT! UP!!!!

That way when the expantion comes out, I'll have a Mansion and an Airship all to my self without having to worry about anouther FC screwing me out of my hard earned Gil.

We’re constantly monitoring the availability of land and we will continue to add additional land as necessary. Just as Yoshida mentioned during the Producer Letter LIVE, we had been devoting all of our housing resources to adding new land, but now we are going to switch focus and use our resources to enhance what you can do with housing, such as the introduction of Free Company crafting.
