    Slight warrior Buff/Tweak.

    I honestly like warrior as it is now, but it could use some useability changes to make it on par with Pally.


    I'd like one of these 2 things (one of them might be super op, so forgive me.)

    1. Change Mercy stroke to give the hp back if the enemy dies within .3 seconds of using the skill. It feels really good to land this skill, but with the small amount of server lag, I'm constantly sure I landed it but somehow didn't. It seems completely random when I did or didn't land it. If the time data was more precise on the skill it wouldn't be a problem, but as it stands this really needs a tune-up.

    2. Make Overpower generate "Wrath" when hitting 4 or more targets. This allows them to actually tank big mobs like they're supposed to. As it stands, Hallowed Ground and the generally higher resistances of paladin make them just as/ if not more desirable for tanking large mobs. This buff would help them keep up and do their job. This changes nothing for most boss fights. (This is the overpowered one)

    EDIT: 3: Change holmgang please. Just, somehow make it better. Alternatively remove Holmgang, and then do that thing I said about wrath for balance.

    I remember not that long ago at all, "Warriors are for tanking lots of trash, they hold AOE aggro easy!" Give PLD a buff to Flash and CoS to bring them online with Warriors and actually -capable- of holding the new ninja aggro, and now, "Waaaah, PLD's can handle more trash than I can because they have a skill with a SEVEN MINUTE COOLDOWN, we totes need Overpower buffed!"

    Teeheehee!

    1. Totally behind changing Enhanced Mercy Stroke, not really sure what tweak would work best since right now it's hard to get the finishing blow but the reward you get from landing it is pretty large. Making it easier to get the hit would result in a smaller reward. Your suggestion seems fine though.

    2. Overpower gaining Wrath would be a bit... broken. Paladin is on equal footing to WAR in terms of "tanking" large groups of mobs (and slightly ahead with the utility of HG as you mentioned), however WAR can actually do pretty great damage to those same mobs whereas a Paladin can just Flash spam. If HG's uptime doesn't give you more DPS than a WAR AOE DPSing (which I'm fairly certain it wouldn't), then a WAR is the better option.

    Who was crying, PWilson? Warriors definitely do more AoE damage, but their JOB is primarily to off-tank isn't it? Hold mobs of trash? So why should Pally be just as good if not better at it, while also being generally better MT's? Very first thing I typed out is "I like warrior where it is now" These changes are more for useability than anything. While using overpower to damage and tank big mobs, your Wrath goes nowhere, and if you have any built up its going to vanish. This means if you need to use overpower a few times, Its dumb to use Berserk or Vengeance, because they generate Wrath you won't be using. These can be "fixed" by a good Warrior who knows his rotations, but its still a needless hassle.

    Mercy stroke is supposed to give warrior just that tiny bit more survivability when tanking big mobs, but currently its completely unreliable.

    Also, as a side note I'd be completely fine with them removing Holmgang, or replacing it to do this. Seriously, that skill sucks. I've found some amazing clutch places to use it and save runs, and I STILL think it sucks. Roots you in place? Takes you to 1 hp? Doesn't pull bosses? lasts 6 seconds instead of 10. Why? The skill is really poorly thought out. Its supposed to give your healer time to save you right? So lets allow you to keep taking damage the whole time, and also root you so you can't avoid heavily damaging Area Effects at the same time!....WHY? Its the worst kind of emergency move where there's never a real good time to use it.

    LOL no, Warriors can MT and good as PLD if not better when played well. Just that Warriors are better at dps, pick up trash faster for aoe/single target. PLD are purely made for tanking, there issn't much option for them other than tanking so they are used as MT.
    While a warrior is versatile, While MT he can BB>EYE OR BB>Path while off tank he can Eye>path(More dmg for tankS and ninja at the same time AOE mitigation) or Eye>BB(More dmg for tanks and ninja, this combo is pure dps).

    I've cleared T9 with 2 Warriors before, Final coil not yet. But to say Warriors Primarily role is Off-tank is just wrong. Warriors primarily role is a tank

    I didn't say that, but there are places where PLD are clearly better than War as MT, like wise there are places where War are better than PLD as MT. In raid tho, people would prefer PLD as MT if trying to clear. But once the everyone knows their roles, PLD or War as Mt doesn't matter anymore

    Back to Topic, if you are using Mercy stroke as a killing blow you are using that skill wrongly lol. Tho i agree with u on holmgang being sucky but it saved my lifes countless times 6 sec is enough time for 1 bene and 3 lustrate tho. Also you do know you have thrill of battle and second wind right? Inner beast helps too

    As a fresh level 50 tank that's still undergeared, I'm getting a lot of mileage out of Holmgang. Still though, I'd like holmgang to have the same range as provoke so I can yank mobs from across the room.

    Mercy stroke stroke should definitely have a larger window for its heal to trigger. I'm not sure if Overpower adding wrath stacks when against greater numbers would be too overpowered though.
