My companion just caused me to fail a quest when I was SO close to finishing it. The dumb ass was running sooooo slow through the Black Shroud while I was carrying a sylph podling. The time was almost up so I was in a huge hurry. I ran too far ahead and now I have to start THE ENTIRE THING OVER!?!?!?!? Wtf is that?

At least they were moving, mine got stuck on a rock and wouldn't budge.

On a slightly related note i failed a guild leve the other day because i went to far out of the area but was given no warning what so ever. I only went the wrong way and was punished for it and this was the black shroud the god damn maze. There should have been a warning. I think that is why i failed anyway it couldn't have been anything else.

i didnt have a problem with mine i had to occasionaly wait for mine to catch up, but theres a clear warning saying you are about to leave the instance, and how did u ran out of time? xD i finished mine with plenty of time left, maybe u stoped to kill every imperial soldier?

I hate these god damn companions, so pointless and a waste of time for me. And its so retarded and breaks complete immersion when its me and my companion alone and my companion is talking to me but i dont reply. Prolly thinking my character is very rude.

I wish we could scrap them. Just have them optional for DOL/DOH

Did a mission with companion last night fighting loads of mobs while he just stood there doing nothing. He would heal me occasionally but why can't he do damage to!? I nearly freakin died, useless idiot he is.

I loved my fellow in FFXI and actually doing quests with him and stuff. And going as NIN/WAR and getting buffed + healed totally rocked!

thats odd, I did the missions on my miner and the companion soloed the mobs on each quest

I can't really do that because she'd like it... so it wouldn't technically be punishment... :/

U just have to pretend its boring and it feels like a house choir and that will piss her off.. get it done quick and selfish and leave the house right after without saying a word
