    Artisan Offhand Meld Discussion.

Seeing as how the offhand has a diverse range of stats available. I wanted to see what others melded onto it.

I melded one with +8Control and +15Craftmanship running Bouillabaisse to hit 395CP

on the other hand i have +14Control on the other running Shark Fin Soup or Chilled Popoto Soup requiring a little more than 1 ToT to make up for the lost cp.

So how would you meld yours? Has anyone found a use for that extra 3 cp you can meld onto it?

Would anyone meld control 4, 4, 3, 3 and cp 3? or would you rather hit the craftsmanship needed.

I have 6 of my Artisan's offhands and I've melded 4 control, 15 crafts and 3 CP on all of them. My stats are 451 crafts and 413 control (have my 3 artisans body pieces) and 355 CP w/o food 398 with HQ bouillabaisse. I can hit 4 star without any food which is a plus, you will need all the extra CP for your rotations anyway. 3 may not seem like much but you may need it in the end. Also, melding an extra 4 control may be expensive if you break it on the 1st overmeld, but I have seem it on ppl before. I'm curious myself what others have done

The extra 4 control allows you to totally bypass the need for any artisan's gear to reach 4 star (with Supra ofc). I only melded my CUL like that because I'd rather not throw up FC buffs everytime I want to craft 4 star food for myself.

With the rest of your cross class gear capped, you need 31 craft and 3 control to do 4 star recipes between body and offhand. So if your body is capped, 15 craftsmanship and 3 CP is a good meld. I have a hunch artisan body might be coming next Tuesday, so I would hold off on melds until then if you don't have them melded yet.

    6 Craft - 5 Craft - 5 Craft - 5 Craft - 3 CP, on all 8.

For 4 star, assuming you have artisan cullotes mitt and sandal, you must have 15 craftmanship and 3 contol the last slot is up to your preferance really.

Why 3 control? It's not needed on offhand.

It is if you don't have any control melded on your body piece.

I intend to perform my melds depending on the nature of the class it's for, but for my main (GSM) I currently use the quoted method. To be honest, that CP3 is not going to save you very often, and in the case of a class like GSM, I find Control to be far more favourable simply because almost every craft you would do is "HQ it or don't bother".
