Just had a fail Snowcloak because of a wtftank...and I was SO happy to have SC for my roulette, instead of Sastasha. Soon as I cast Protect, Tank just dashes out to collect mobs. Life's dropping but he's still-a-pulling. Idiot continues all the way from the beginning of SC to the first gate with all of the wolves. Naturally he died and blamed me. And given the fact that we had 2 Monks for dps, and he wasn't in full Noct gear...friggin idiot, I'm tired of these kind of tanks. And it's popping up more and more. I oughtta make a thread in their forum since they put the "wtfwhm" one in ours. There's some serious stupidity on they're side that needs addressing, otherwise DF is going to be lacking in healers. We don't need half the abuse we get nor half the BS we have to put up with.

From other people's point of view, I look like a monster. I'm a stupid woman who imagines she can create a happy life by piling up her sins

It's still a minority of Tanks though still they should at least communicate what they plan to do instead of running off and making you guess. Often they stop and i start throwing heals thinking they'll burn what they have then move on but then they dash off again with regen on them and the next mobs all run to me and kill me. Guess who's fault that is? *points to self* also when they pull one mob and ignore the rest then dash off so i can't heal them in between pulls and by the time they get to the end they are nearly dead anyway. I have two choices. 1. Heal them and die or 2. Hope to god Benediction can hit them quick enough that they don't die or they don't start dying before they stop pulling stuff.

There are Tanks who can do it and know how to handle big pulls but a lot don't and they try to be Billy Big Shoes by pulling huge and failing.

Seeing as neither of those have a lot of AOE it quickly turned into a horrific run of Snowcloak. I did have a few slip-ups later in the dungeon though. It seemed to me like he didn't care what I was doing he just wanted to run twice he ran off and engaged the next group when I wasn't looking at my screen and pulled a ton of enemies when in the few seconds I was distracted. By the time I got there on each occasion he did that the group was beyond saving and not even a cast of Benediction as soon as I got within healing range of the tank saved the tank from death. I eventually caught my healing up to his pace of running; however, it took far longer than it should have and I wish we had talked out strategy beforehand.

Then after those 2 mobs, we got to wait for his cds to refill.
Wanna bet who stayed even for the first boss?

So, the other day I was doing my daily Hunts and got this big wolf boss at the FATE in Lower Lano. Its a lvl 10 FATE so I ask myself: "Myself, what class do you have that could take this oportunity to lvl up a bit?" "Oh, look! Conjurer!! Seriously? Well, its lvl 16, it shouldn't be too bad".

Well, fortunately my boko is a rank 9 healer so I suppose using a lvl 16 Conjurer to attack shouldn't be too bad... so I go and switch!! Alright, I have only 4 pieces of armor, no accesories and it looks overall dubious... meh, what could go wrong?! 5 minutes later, I got my answer...

First, the fact that it took 5 minutes to do a lvl 10 FATE as a lvl 16 char, was the FATE still boosted by the FATE peak hours? I don't really know, I just know it took a hell of a lot of time.

As you might all so well know, Conjurers doesn't have an infinite mana... so yea, 5 minutes is way too long for my barely existing MP... needless to say I ran out at some point even after using the already gone bad some-level-Ether in the dusk covered flask, and had to rely on my branch to wack the bad dog's head for the last 10% since my knees are too stiff to bend down, pick up stones, and throw them at it!!!

Seriously, whats so ~magical~ about throwing stones?!

Won that battle but I feel like I lost something... some while later my char got an upset stomach.

As a Summoner in ST yesterday, my party's two healers were really bad...I don't know if they just didn't know what they were doing, but at one point, I had to stop dps'ing to spam my meager heal on the tank and swiftcast + res the healer I thought was best (lol), then go back to spamming heals while I waited for the res'd healer to get the other one up... I was kicking myself so hard, wishing I'd just gone WHM in the first place.

I don't know if I have just gotten unlucky recently but in each 8 man I have done I have had at least one Black Mage decide that his job is not to dodge anything, agro everything we want to run past or just do his own do big numbers thing.

And apparently it is my job to keep him alive while everything around tries to eat his face.

So, it was around 4am, sunday morning (oops. *Inserts Lost track of time excuse..... even if partially true*) when I had a bunch of raids/trials queued for the hell of it. Interestingly enough, Ramuh pops up. Cool - easy fight and it's not yet in the 'getting old' list (as I don't get to do it often... no real demand for it).

    It was uh.... interesting.
I guess it's not so much a horror story as it is a "WTF" story.
Entered the trial, said hello and buffed, some people talked/said hello... and right off the bat, the tanks seemed to recognize each other (???) - and one ups and leaves before we even start. Down a tank, but meh. I don't think Ramuh really requires two tanks anyway.
That is, ofcourse, if it was done correctly....

So, a good chunk of the party except one or two completely ignored a major mechanic - shocking terror off other players. And guess who was terrored 90% of the time. -_- Because having a healer immobilized for any length of time is always a good idea. (/sarcasm)
I dont' know what the hell the other healer was doing, but all I could do was watch us go down... and spam the cureII key on the lowest HP'd person in hopes of un-terroring on my own in time. Okay, sure, tiny arena, don't really need to move much except to spread out when rings or to shock people.... and even then people will just move on their own. But.... they couldn't be bothered to try hard enough - or was a bot.
Maybe half the party were just bots (or thats what it felt like... I may be forgetting people, being it was 4am, a day ago). Oh well. At least the SMN (actually, I think I may have partied with him in ST earlier o_O), BLM (I think it was o_O) and the tank seemed alive.

So we automatically lose a tank before we even begin, the party is partially MIA apparently, we inevitably wipe because no one would shock anyone unless it was the one or two (and myself... but I was paralyzed majority of the time) living people that had rings, and then the remaining tank randomly goes, "I'M SORRY, I CHOKED! ;A;" ....and promptly left.
It was maybe only 5 mins.

    o_O

We all just stood around till a few people left.
A new healer and DPS came in.... looked around and went "uuhhh, what happened here?"
I could only reply, "You don't want to know... "

If you get another group where no one's bothering (not uncommon from what I've seen), Ramuh's red circle AOE (Thunderspark) will clear that off, and isn't deadly in HM. I tend to just run in range for that if I get terror regardless. Either someone will free me, and I'll be able to move out of the red, or they won't, and the AOE will do it.
