XIVDB and Lodestone disagree - what's the desynth class of the Allagan physical DPS belts (Allagan Tassets of Striking/Maiming/Aiming)? XIVDB says LTW, Lodestone says ARM. I'd like to know because I was about to start farming one of them for LTW desynth, but if that's the wrong desynth class, I won't do that :P

Tassets would be ARM because they're made of metal ^_^
Whatever the repair class is for the item is also the desynth class. If Allagan tassets are LTW desynth/repair, it's because SE screwed it up lol. Every other tasset in the game is ARM.
xivdb is not updated. The belts used to be LTW but one of the small hotfix patches a month or two ago changed them to ARM.

- The following items incorrectly listed their desynthesis and repair class as "Leatherworker" instead of "Armorer”:
Allagan Tassets of Striking / Allagan Tassets of Aiming / Allagan Tassets of Maiming

is it better to have 2 classes at 100% and 1 at 95%, or spread them out to 99,99,97 or 99,98,98?
You desynth these with ARM, but you get leather from the desynthXIVDB and Lodestone disagree - what's the desynth class of the Allagan physical DPS belts (Allagan Tassets of Striking/Maiming/Aiming)? Personally I'd prefer having 2 classes at 100 and 1 at 95. At least that way you can guarantee successful desynthesis for several really good items, rather than having a 97.5% chance or whatever... Because you just KNOW that RNG will kick your ass that one time you really need it to work in your favour lol
Also, keep in mind that SE plans to increase the cap on desynthesis from 300 to 400, so plan accordingly![]()
100 is significantly better than 99.99. With 99.99, you can fail an r70 desynth (98.5% success), but at 100, it's a 100% chance of success. In this game "can fail" often means "will fail" because RNGesus hates you. :P
While I personally prefer having two 100s, it means I can only have two endgame desynth classes at a time, basically, since I would never desynth r90+ items with a class at only 95 dSkill. If you are less afraid of RNGesus, having classes at 98/98/99 is great if you want to have three classes able to do endgame desynths with a good shot at success.
Just remember that since fraction don't help you, it's kinda impossible to do 98/98/99. You'd really be doing 98/98/98 with some fractional amounts of each that you switch around as you desynth. At 100/100/95, you have to also be careful, because any desynth of the 95 class that gives exp (which means anything at r70 or higher) will make you lose one of your 100s.
Really, all this means that you can only have two endgame-capable desynth classes, period. I really hope that, in the future, they raise the desynth cap from 300 to 404. 305 would be so much better than 300, and 404 so much better than 400... Or, they can just let us lock desynth classes so that if we're at the cap, we can prevent gaining or losing any exp at all for classes we want locked in place. If they implement THAT, then having 400 max could give us 4 classes at 99 each, which is really nice.

Yea.. I figured Id be better off with 2 at 100% considering I have the worst RNG in my server =D. If Im not at 100%, it means Im at 100% FAILURE rate. But I really hope they change that 400 cap to 405 when they do decide to up it.
