Whut? If you're talking about Warrior specifically, Berserk gives Pacify, why does it make sense? Because it boosts your Damage by quite a lot. Theres a downside to using it, it's a trade off. if you dont want pacify, then they'd probably weaken berserk.

If you're talking about pacify even if you havnt used berserk, it could be certain mob actions? your post is hard to tell what you're talking about

I figured it was because pretty much every other berserk type action in FF games leaves you unable to control your character.. Would be a little hard to just have a tank unable to do anything for 20 sec.. So yea, 5 sec is a fair trade off lol

You're probably right about the mob actions. I wasn't using full rotations nor have I ever reached berserk on random world mobs at a lower level than me. This happens on my GLD as well, so maybe I'm just unlucky. Whatever mob actions are causing it aren't even showing up on my battle log and its pretty irritating. I'll just use my NIN when doing non instanced content. Never happens then.
