[Suggestion] Cash Shop Suggestion Topic

First and Foremost.

If you are here to discuss what shouldn't be in the cash shop or rant and rave about stuff that is currently in the cash shop, there are other topics to discuss that in. I won't bother linking them as there are over 20 of them now. The cash shop is here, it's most likely not going away. Instead of making another argument topic on the subject that has been covered a dozen times over, let's aim for something different



With that out of the way, let's begin shall we?

There has been a lot of talk in the last day or so about things being 'unacceptable' in the cash shop. So instead, lets make this a positive topic shall we?

Let's not discuss what is in the shop, or what will possibly be (Eternal Bonding). But rather, let's discuss options and potential services that would benefit the player base in the cash shop.

Remember however, "No Pay To Win" is the key here. So these would be vanity, cosmetic, glamours etc.

One example I can start with is this:

Since we know that they won't do crossovers with games that are finished fully and the character stories are done, I doubt we would have anything to celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Chrono Trigger.

What if the Cash Shop offered a Chrono Trigger Anniversary pack with 4 hairstyles (2 male 2 female) a minion that changed between a couple of the Chrono Trigger characters and possibly an outfit based on gender.

Just an idea, most likely not that well thought out but it's a start.

In all Truth i "Understand" why Yoshi p added a "Cash shop" "option" But again it really isnt necessary with a sub game. They make more then enough money from subs themselves it jsut feels like it could be a possible cash grab just like with WoW.


Personal Feelings aside.


I feel like The whole "mount" and "minion" ideas are decent but we were promised when 2.0 was in beta and prerelease "Everything will be in the game" Straight from Yoshi p with one of his earlier live letters.

As long as minions and mounts are in cash shop im ok with this. If i see things like triple triad decks and what not in the cash shop i know alot of the populace will freak out.

The wedding thing is ok tho we dont have full info on it just yet.


Would love to see some Hairstyles and clothing options from FFXV would be cool i think.
I like alot of the hairstyles now but i definitely think alot more should be added. i run into me all the time on my server due to lack of full customization.

Cash shop is good for the game, Hope it stays as long as it isn't pay to win. Which they did say it wouldn't be.

Release all micro-transaction vanity items as bonus in-game items alongside merchandise, players appears to not have an issue when unique and exclusive vanity items and minions that are included as bonuses to merchandise so it might be a win-win for SE where they could sell more items at a higher profit margin and not have to deal with all these negative reactions.

What they should do is remove everything currently in the cash shop, and add completely different things.

The scion minions never should have been added, they have 2 free in game, and 3 to buy, it makes no sense why some are free and some are not, makes it feel like they were planning to put those in game then decided to make them cost.

The Sleipnir mount is similar, since each extreme primal drops a horse mount, when they add Odin extreme, Sleipnir would have been perfect.
With the Halloween gear, they should not have included gear previously sold in game in the cash shop.

No event that is a feature people are looking forward to should be divided into a free version, and a version that costs that is better.

What they should have added is gear, hairstyles, minions, and weapons from characters of other final fantasies.
I would be ok with that, since they are not things that really fit in with the game world, or lore.

I'd put housing plots on the cash shop. At least people would stop buying gil for them.
