    What?!?! But who will get sandwiches, cheese, wine, and bread? Who will be brave enough to oil down a man's feet? These aren't things you can trust to any low leveled servant. They must be done by a proud and faithful warrior!

    Regardless, I think there's some level of tongue-in-cheek/metadesign going on - the Warrior of Light going through estabilished trials and tropes of the genre. As long as it's done with irony/humor and the dosage is well-balanced, it's not a problem: as I have the feeling that with all the things being advertised for Heavensward, there will be a tighter plot to follow anyway.
