Medica II abuse needs to stop

This is a trend I've been seeing slowly pick up since around 2.2/2.3 or so but it's just outright dumb now. I swear 80+% of pug WHMs I see in roulettes and dungeons pre-cast Medica II ....

I do roulettes as tank very often, but I have not seen any WHM pre-cast medica2... ^^;

IMO precasting medica2 is not smart, bcoz if precasting it doesn't matter, most likely not casting it also doesn't matter. ^^;

Btw, it reminds me in some situations,
a mob may remember (buffered) the previous ppl on its hate-table and this mob must hit the previous target once even this target is not on the top anymore.

I precast in T4 before bugs/dread so bugs are on me and i can feed them immediately.

Yup. All you need is one Flash+CoS and you got it covered, no need to click HoT's off because those two skills will out-enmity even if you are dual HoT:ed.

If there is a need for a good tank to fix something, another thing has gone wrong beforehand, right? So why do wrong?
Of course one flash will get you the attention, but if med2 ticks and mobs run to the healer before you are in the right position to flash, you might not hit 1 or 2 mobs, they run around, DPS attack your primary target and get enmity... its no biggie but it is not necessary and has potential to mess up a pull.

I've noticed some WHMs casting Medica II right before or right as the tank pulls in ST. I just raise my brow and let them learn the hard way. :/ Not much you can do at that point other than clicking it off - but not everyone in the party is going to do that anyway.
Luckily it's fairly rare that I end up with a WHM partner that does that.

The only time I'll accidently medica II or Regen before a pull is during dungeons - when I get too absorbed in healing the party and keeping regen on the tank during a 'holy shit' mob that I don't notice the HP of the mob till it's all dead (IE, still planning/reacting for longer survival than was needed) - so then there's freshly residual medica II/regen ticking when the tank runs off to grab the next mob :/
But never intentional.

Got a screen which I cba to find atm of 2 whms casting medica II pre pull before a boss was even engaged. Wipe followed.

Medica II should only be used after a room wide aoe so you can focus on the tank again. Ex T10 after burst or wild charge.

I don't know if it's because the changes to tank enmity spoiled this "new" generation of WHMs but it needs to stop. Pre-casting Medica II literally does nothing except generate ridiculous amounts of hate...

You should never pre cast med II except in a hunt.
However, anytime AFTER the first two seconds of a pull med II is appropriate and fine. If you are losing hate after you're pulling then it ain't the medica II... It's you.

Regen is not ideal to precast either, but it's much less a problem.

In addition, any buff you don't like you have the power to remove. So, it's really not worth whining about unless the healer is constantly keeping med II up 24/7.

This happens? Why owuld anyone use Medica II early on in, or before a, fight?That doesn't even make sense. Unless everyone took damage very early I can't see the point... And to expect the tank to click it off is idiotic. Just don't cast it. :|
