I don't see anything inherently wrong with selling booster packs via cash shop so long as none of the cards are cash shop exclusives that are blatantly better than what you can obtain in-game. The moment they do that is the moment they step over the line into P2W zone, optional mini-game or not.

I disagree. That's a slippery slope, regardless of whether said card is available in game or not. It's how it all starts. I say if they go the cash shop route with the cards, they should have let the card game be a separate game altogether. Not something you can play in the game world. But that's probably too late now.
