Specific Glamour Item Requests

One of the questions in the live letter mentioned that while as a whole, the glamour system is going to stay how it is, but if there are specific items we want to be able to equip on other classes, that we could request those. So, these are the two that I REALLY want to be able to equip on other classes:

- SMN i90 Boots
- WVR Swallowtail Coat

I think at least crafted gear should be made into all DoW or DoM. For example both cashmere clothes to be worn by either BLM or WHM and wolfram to be worn by all DoW, and saurian for all DoW etc.

Another example is the new arachne armor for MNK/NIN would really like this for all DoW.

I also read that question from the Letter from the Producer Live, and wanted to request that one-handed CNJ/WHM and THM/BLM weapons be allowed to be glamoured onto two-handed weapons of the same class/job, and vice versa. It wouldn't change the look of the class or the appearance of it at all, but I would rather have the look of a wand on my WHM and permanently gimp myself than use a staff for the same class. That it something that I think should be addressed as it seems that one-handed weapons have been dropped from recent updates, yet some of the old ones have very fun and interesting looks, and they are impossible to glamour on to the better WHM weapons.

Make everything glamourable. If people want to look goofy that is their prerogative but we shouldn't need to request every little thing we wish to be allowed to use as glamour. How about a little foresight on the part of the dev team. I understand you are afraid to make the same mistakes of your predecessors but not taking risks can be just as deadly to a game as it hinders creativity. I agree with you completely. It's hard to defend their argument that they don't want something like tanks wearing casting gear when tanks can literally run around in bikinis, the literal opposite of what a tank should look like.

I agree with the exception of job specific gear like the Artifact sets. I don't think a warrior should be able to wear the iconic WHM armor set for example. Also the unique crafter sets I think should fall under the same category. I think gear that is meant to represent a specific job should be locked to that job. Otherwise I could care less if a caster wears plate armor or if a tank wears cloth.

Yeah, that does make sense. Seeing a brd in drg specific AF armor would be way more out of place than a tank wearing cloth.

They should change the Hempen Tunic to "All classes." It's the same shirt that 90% of the NPCs wear and would make for great casual wear, yet it's DoW-only which severely limits this. It doesn't even have any additional stats other than slight increase in Def (yes, it's stat-less). Making it "all classes" wouldn't be too game breaking.

While I do appreciate the fact that the new Artisan gear can be worn by all crafters, it kinda ruined the unique look each crafting class had. True we can glamour them to the old i55 gear, but the problem is that we're limited to only one class. I'm a goldsmith at heart so I glamoured everything to that, but now whenever I switch to another class I just want to finish my craft and switch back. Something about a weaver coat, shorts, and sandals is unappealing. And what added salt to the wound is that even though the glamoured artisan gear does not work on a different class, it still retains its color, so now I'm stuck with metallic gold dyed culottes and sandals on every other crafter.

I would personally LOVE to have more glamour sets looking like FFXI gear sets, particularly the Igqira/Genie Weskit set for BLM and Yasha Samue for NIN . I know they made the Wootz tank set look like the Kaiser set from XI
