Screw that. I already pay a subscription. There shouldn't even be a cash shop at all. If you want to make it a subscription game fine. If you want to make it "free" to play fine. Doing both isn't cool. It's like having to pay both rent and a mortgage for your house. Cash shops in subscription games are ridiculously anti-consumer and I'm completely against it in every way.

I doubt it that SE bring that back.
It was a bonus item to have both an active XIV and XI account during a specific limited timeframe.

To the Chocobo Mask. It should come from a Chocobo content, not from Cash Shop

Chocobo Caravan 1.0 gave us the Chocobo Mask
Companion Training in ARR give us the Chocobo Suit
Chocobo Racing in Golden Saucer should give us the Chocobo Mask again, not a cash shop

see but that's the thing. I for one hate The cash shop but its not like mortgage and rent, why? Because ... Stuff in the cash shop isn't required, and they don't HAVE to re release stuff. People had the opportunity to get it for free and either missed it, or want it again. So its more like
Going to the doctors for a checkup... Sure I paid already my monthly costs but now that I have a checkup, I have to pay a copay.
So while id kill the cash shop if it was my decision.

I understand we all had a chance to get the past items etc, but id like them to re release the items and they're under no obligations to do so because as you say, we pay for the game and content and it was included already so... That's just business. I want something that isn't considered PART of the game anymore.. I pay extra for it. However since this isn't a topic about the cash shop, that's all ill say about it is that no I don't like it, but if that's the ONY way to get stuff like that. It's worth it to some people like me.

Regarding the chocobo mask though, I feel many were jipped regarding that... SE posted a page of things to get/do before the servers went down because it was your last chance, it was discontinued content moving into 2.0. Chocobo masks weren't on that list so many prioritised other clearly listed things (that they cared less about) because they thought they would have plenty of chances to get it in 2.0. When people found out that that wasn't the case, there was heartbreak all over but it was already too late.

Personally, I'd love to see the old escort missions come back. They are one of the few established pieces of content that really make you walk around the world and can show off the many landmarks and other unique features of these newer maps that the devs were so proud of. Then people could earn their masks as they'd always intended to, too.

I went on a spearfishing bonanza when they posted that list. I still use the title from one of the achievements.
One of our last hamlet defences dropped the Militia Gig too. My group gave it to me out of pity, knowing it was a day or two from being useless. ヽ(´□｀。)ﾉ

If I knew the Ruthless Gillionare achievement would be gone too, I would have gone on a massacre!

Agreed. I don't really see the point in a list like that even existing if it didn't give fair warning on everything in time. It pulled people towards things that they didn't necessarily care about (aside from for completionist's sake) when they could have been working towards things they did care about that got scrapped. Kinda a low blow when it comes to last chances.
