Did you miss the part where he said "by the time we get the expansion" or something? o.OHow is the vocal minority 'everyone'? I still don't see how iL130 is going to be the 'standard' when only the vocal minority has supposedly hit this 'golden' iL. This proposed iL minimum is currently only achievable by running Coil and farming Poetics. Given that, it's not hard to think that not everyone will hit that magic number when Heavensward rolls around. The only people who will meet/beat it are the No Life Kings. Setting the iL that high for the expansion is just a ploy to pad egos.
Bolded it for you. That doesn't make any sense, by the time we get the expansion everyone will have i130 from FCoB/WoD and it will be facerollable easy on release, wouldn't you want a higher ilvl so it isn't facerollable easy on release and forces people to get better gear until the next major update?
People's current ilevel is completely irrelevant with the expansion months off and more content on the way.

That's just it. It's been months since AF+1 and there's still people out there barely breaking iL90. By the time Heavensward rolls around we're going to have alot of people still under iL110. The No Life Kings are not everyone, they never will be. Planning content around the vocal minority can only result in people being gated until they 'catch up'.
I love how you assume Hardcore players have no lives. I work 45-50 hours a week, go out with friends, have a family. Yet I have managed to cap poetics every week, reach i105, and go from base Curtana to halfway done with my alexandrite when I started playing 2 months ago. I get to play for a total of two hours most week nights.
I don't know what world you're living in, but ever since hunts and ST started giving sands of time i110 has been the average for pretty much everyone, at the start of 2.5 people will start getting i130, by the time the expansion lands most people will have i130 and those who not, heavensward dungeons will probably give i130 gear or higher. That's just it. Those people without i110 are those who started recently.
You surely have an odd definition of vocal minority, unless you're meaning to say ST can only be cleared by the minority.
EDIT - now reading your previous post well it's pretty obvious you didn't read my post.
"This proposed iL minimum is currently only achievable by running Coil and farming Poetics." <--- Wrong, I'm talking about after WoD comes out, after i130 can be obtained outside of coil.

Maybe as lv60 gear from the newest highest tome, that we can only start to farm with a lv60 class.
I think they save up ilevel 130 gear as the second best gear with the best gear in the new raid

So... being able to earn 450 tomes and run ST (or the next installment of the tower) a few times in a week means you have no life? That only takes a couple of hours, so I don't follow your logic there. By the time 3.0 rolls around, anyone that spends more than a few hours a week on the game working toward gearing will have i120-130, most likely on more than one job. People that are under i110 will generally either be true newbies, those that don't care so much for PVE (such as career crafters) or people gearing their 6th or 7th job. That's just it.
