Can I ask why so many people are willing to experience endgame content but at the same time are reticent to join FC and / or statics?
I keep seeing people like that on the forums and I honestly don't understand.

In my case, I'm not part of a static because my job hours are wholly unpredictable, and for a lot of people that's what real life looks like. It's not that there aren't times to play, but having those times line up in a predictable manner is another issue entirely.
For FCs, there's usually two types. One type of FC is super relaxed and casual and can be full of perfectly competent players - but chances are only a handful are even pushing second coil and most EX Primals, nevermind final/savage coils, and if they are it's with a static with people outside the FC (This is my FC). The other type are endgame focused but are usually an FC solely dedicated to that - and you'll get dropped the moment you're no longer able to meet static hours or not up to snuff in performance etc., which is just an environment a lot of people don't like being in the rest of the time they're not endgame raiding (These are the FCs I've seen many more hardcore friends on other servers deal with)

Nicely said. It's this way for many people, including myself. In my case, I'm not part of a static because my job hours are wholly unpredictable, and for a lot of people that's what real life looks like. I also fall into this category. My working hours are unpredictable to the point that most of the time I don't even know what days off I have from work in 2 weeks time let alone if I'm working through the middle of the night or the morning/afternoon. I would rather not inconvenience anyone with this so stick to playing solo.
I see.
Sadly I reckon that with a work schedule like that, playing MMO at endgame level would indeed be very difficult.
At the same time, however, developers can't nerf encounters too much just to cater to players like you - otherwise things would be too easy and boring for people who don't have your issues.
I think that, at some point, each player has to ask himself "Can my real life situation allow me to play this game properly?"
If the answer is no, maybe the best choice would be to find a game which is more suitable for you. I know this since I've been in your situation in the past; for example, I had to abandon EVE Online because it required too much time despite me loving the game a lot.
