This is starting to sound like Bleach lol.the text says :
はあ はあ...で できたぞ
ha ha... I- I did it
器たる 「ゾデイックウェポン」が.....
It's the vessel of the zodiac weapon....
あとは、魂を込めれば、完成だ。
Then, if we manage to put the souls inside it will be perfect.
Speaking about the new weapon that will hold the full power of the relic I guess ( so Excalibur for Curtana )
Well it did long ago (altough it makes me think of Soul eater more, we will have to kill a Witch to complete the weapon !!!), we already gathered souls inside in the Animus book part, the atmas gave the relic the ability to eat souls, ate souls in Animus, upgraded with materias in novus, harmonized the souls in Nexus, now we will have to transfer the souls to a proper weapon it seems.
Well excuuuuseee me for not memorizing the name of some dude who I don't bother with materia much :P With the grouping of all these NPCs, something tells me we might need to use every single one of them to get to the next relic level. How dare you!
That's master Mutamix Bubblypots to you.
It's thanks to him that Eorzeans could even fathom the very concept of Materia itself.
j/k, but in all seriousness, it's very interesting that everyone involved (either directly or indirectly) in the process of creating/upgrading our relic is present there.
Don't worry, since it will be a new weapon we will have to craft the weapon ( including the 5 star craft with lvl 4 demimaterias ), including the duo fight Hydra + Khimera, kill the 6 primals in EX mode, do Atmas again, put materias again. They'll have a job, and this for an incredible 5 ilvl boost !
Nah, the only thing you have to do is beat Ultros while everyone in the party is new to the fight.

I'm gonna laugh if it's even close to something like that... and then I'm gonna cry... a lot...Something about obtaining fifty pieces of Unobtainium to upgrade your relic to <Weapon> Unobtainius, which is Ilvl 120 with the weapon stats of a Ilvl 100 and no secondary stats. It also loses the sexus glow the tip of the weapon (or arrow color for bards) gets a recolor.
THEN you need perform 80 melds onto your weapon to give it secondary stats, using Bobbiendrites as the catalyst (which can be obtained through, but not limited, to daily quests requiring specific FATEs and poetic tomestones). You will need to use demimateria for this process, requiring grades I, II and III throughout (20 I, 40 II, 20 III)
Using battlecraft will increase a random secondary battle stat by 1 (Crit, Det, Acc, Skill.S, Spell.S, and piety).
Using fieldcraft will increase one of your crafting/gathering stat by +1 (even craftsmanship, gathering, and perception).
Using clear will increase the vendor value of your finished relic weapon by 50gil
Using Mastercraft will result in your relic weapon being confiscated by the master artisan crafters of the Order of the Flaming Fish, and you will need to explain to Gerlot on how your one-of-a-kind restored relic weapon and start the entire process over to create another.
When you finally complete this step, your relic weapon will then transform into an Ilvl 120 weapon, called the <Name> Jokesonurious.

If its battle craft demateria that would be way too easy if you have any desynth leveled you can pretty much make as much as you want.
I would love to have something like the first relic quest
make it challenging so that everyone is proud about his relic..
get 4 items from savage coil 6-9 to upgrade your relic to ilvl 135 or sth like that
if its the last relic step before 3.0 it has to be ilvl 130 or135 <.<

Savage coil? Are you insane?
savage nowadays is what titan hm was 1 year ago, so I would welcome that step
and killing ifrit, garuda, titan in ilvl 60 was the most entertaining step of all so far, no brainlessgrind for 40 hours...
