in my world odin level 4 crit n determination materia range from 800k-900k so im taking the cheap way out making my own gear n sbing but no luck since the range is ._.'''''''

1st 11 equips i spirit bound got 5 element level 4 materia 3 vitality level 3
2nd 11 equips i spirit bound got 4 element level 4 materia and 5 battledance 3 = =

that was just last night :'(
so far im at 90+ and only got 1 crit 4 = =

Materia is very expensive once you get to the IV portions and have a chance for them to fail while trying to infuse to the weapon.
As for Alex maps themself if you are in no immediate hurry you can simply do the daily quest (Expert Roulette) and you get a map out of it.
I have had my Animus for around 3 months now and still not complete because, well it's expensive, lol

yeah i do the daily roulette for the sol n poetics then generally solo sb in northern thanalan due to the fates popping so more or less 2 things at once

1 sbing
2 fate grinding for alexandrites
3. farming pieste skins stuff for a bit of $$$$ lol

had my animus for cpl months nows n stuck on both level 4 infusions due to not willing to pay that much for materia n no luck in range

hope golden saucer has n exchange option for materia :P
