Rogue/Ninja: Mug Issue

Just to note: I do not want to place this in the Bug Forum because I am not sure if it's actually bugged or I am incredibly unlucky.

When I hit 50 on Ninja about a week into the patch, I farmed mobs to test the effectiveness of Mug and its loot ability. I was rather successful as I would get about 3/10 additional loots from Mug with Kiss of the Wasp up.

Since then, I've noticed Mug not stealing (making sure I did NOT have Kiss of the Viper up). I've tried with and without buffs up, low level mobs, same level mobs and I cannot get Mug to proc again. I've tried for days and no additional loot.

Am I extremely unlucky or is anyone else experiencing this?

Kiss of the viper: Changes the additional effect for Mug to absorb 50% of damage as HP.

Changes, not adds. So the additional effect of extra loot gets replaced by the HP drain.

As thief in 8-bit theatre says in the last panel here:

Anyway, if you're just out farming mobs why use kiss of the viper? Don't need the HP drain, and on mobs with defensive buffs it's better to start off with a stun.

Just an update:

I've been farming outside Wineport (where I've had procs before) in between queues tonight and I ended after about 2-3 hours of testing.

To be completely clear, I had no buffs up at all. I had 0 Mug procs. Can anyone else chime in that has had success recently?

Seriously though, that's weird. I'll do some testing when I get home tonight, but I've never had a problem with getting mug to proc, as far as I can remember.

I am experiencing the same problem when I use Mug without either of the kisses turned on or with just Kiss of the Wasp turned on. In other-words I was getting mug procs for the first week or so, but ever since I have gotten absolutely no Mug Procs whatsoever.

That said the Mug ability appears to be working properly when I have Kiss of the Viper turned on, as such I have taken to just using Kiss of the Viper as the self-heal is actually very good when soloing, and even in dungeons on occasion.

This bug isn't game breaking for me, but it's a nice little mechanic I enjoy using in my off time. I wish we had more users testing this and giving feedback. Thanks for your reply!
