Tried to get a Paypal account about a month or two ago. It was such a pain in the ass to set up I eventually gave up halfway through.

Seeing as to how one can not only eat their food, but also play with their food, I'd take it food in this matter is the superior product?Where I live, you can pre-order and then pay your food with paypal... (Mcdonald), if such big and worldwide company can do it >.> there is no way SE couldn't do the same, infact it would attract more players ingame, mean more benefits for SE.
note : before someone reply with something like "but you re talking about food, a game is not the same" duh, a game or a bigmac re both the product of a company, they re both under licenses and copyrights protections, the only difference is that the customer usually don't eat video games.
PayPal is supported by such a vast array of companies, in such a variety of stores from clothing to food, from games to books, etc. that it's odd for such a large publisher as Square Enix to not have had direct PayPal support in the first place.
Bump.
Would really love to be able to buy a fantasia potion.![]()
The problem is not only to add more payment options but also fix the exist one. The error 401 and 601, as seen in a thread I made: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...50#post2427750 and the original thread http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...de-401-and-601 . Which is much alive and still exists, and its been going on for over a year. But I would support to add PayPal as a option of its own to pay for the sub fee/cash shop.
Cant' wait until i can get a name change, extra retainer and more time on my account. I only have 13 days left and I want to take advantage of the reduced price point of my Legacy Account.
So basically you re agreeing with meSeeing as to how one can not only eat their food, but also play with their food, I'd take it food in this matter is the superior product?

It really astounds me that SE hasn't ever enabled the use of PayPal.
Especially when it's been cutting out methods to pay for time in the past several months (either because that system died off, ie Ultimate Game Cards, or for hellifweknow, ie PSN wallet).
I don't have any problem paying for my service, but that wouldn't have been true for me a year ago under current conditions, and I support anything that helps reduce the hoops people have to go through to play.
I, too, really need Paypal as a payment option.
Make it so.
They said that they are working on it and it will come soon.. If they said thisa thgen they will so just be patient.. god.... I am sure it takes time running this through the Legal Department and stuff like that
They must have some different hoops to jump through than a random dude does. I can get a paypal store set up to receive payment and a button on my website in a few hours. But dealing with a corporation, there must be much more red tape to cut. It will come, The sooner the better though.
