We did a cradle too. Simple combination, but it worked perfectly. First in a personal room-turned-nursery, and then repeated in our personal house.

Sort of not a combo cause it's not 2 furniture pieces, but Megalodon Jaws placed atop the private chambers door allows a "nice" perch:
