Basically that means a hacker attempts to overwhelm the servers with thousands of fake connections causing the server memory to overload.

This doesnt mean you are unaffected, nor does it mean that this is or isnt a hacker attempt to overload the server. I'm not saying it is one way or the other but it certainly appears fishy.

good ole high traffic. no conspiracy here, always happens during NA primetime.

Except it's not NA primetime. 1:09AM CST is hardly primetime. And these 90ks have been happening for what.. 30 minutes to an hour now? High Traffic is not the cause. I never 90k during actual primetime and rarely ever 90k unless it is something seriously wrong with the SE servers.

Pathpings show issues with Level 3.
Unfortunately for me it's not just for FF14. A client I work for is unable to reach their FTP server because the connection is also getting lost once it reaches a Level 3 hop.

My pathping couldn't even complete. It got to the first Level3 node and just died.

here's what my hops are, just so you know I don't have to go through any AT&T stuff, meaning it's a problem with Level 3. Anything at 17 hops or more is timing out because of firewalls that disallow pinging:
