Why make it so difficult to gear up our non-caster DPS?

Now 2.4, bard gear is shared with...ninja? Except previous striking gear (HA and allagan) also give Dex, up until ironworks and dreadwyrm.... while ninja gets their own as Scouting. But now Bard's suffix is still aiming for ironworks and dreadwyrm ...as well as the accessories.

Bard jewelry is shared with ninja because they're both DEX classes. Honestly the jewelry situation is just fine since it's based on primary stats and nothing else
Bard left-side equipment is NOT shared with ninja because...well, just LOOK at bard gear and try to picture a melee class wearing it. So they tacked DEX onto the monk gear and now those two share it.
...personally i would've liked if they had opened up that gear to BRDs as well since not all of us want to look like we just got back from carnivale, but I digress.

MNK and DRG gear have different Def and Mdef stats. Also only the tome gear of them share the same model (if we are talking about the new 2.4 gears)

Doesn't change the Lazy, ok so they swapped out a stat or some numbers that is all of 2 mins code work if that. My point was the lazy way they went about the gear design, if you need separate gear stats at least make the gear look visibly different in more than just color.

BLM and SMN sharing gear is a big problem because any spell speed is wasted on SMN. And all the shared gears have so much ss on them = =

Meanwhile, NIN and BRD have same defense stats, and it's still separated by scouting and aiming.

why not put MNK, BRD and NIN in the same gear and give them same STR and DEX?

My blm/smn shouldn't share gear. They need two different things and the Ironworks gear is a slap in the face for smns.

Brd/Nin shouldn't share gear either. They are two different style of jobs. Hell, the only things that should be shareable are the accessories. All the left sides should be class/job based.

God plz no. It's so nice to have a decent set of gear for my PLD/WHM that I get for free while gearing my WAR/SCH. Great for those instances where I'm in a group that has one class already but wants one of each for LB bonus/Buffs/Whatever. It's not necessarily going to have the *best* secondary stats on it, but it's going to be a whole lot better than what I would have if I needed to gear them separately (ie: it would be 40 ilvls behind).

Same reason they didn't put MNK and DRG in the same gear, but put BLM and SMN in the same gear.

I'd like to point out that crafters and gatherers are also affected by this. It's not a problem for leveling (as you probably wouden't glamout the gear knowing that you can outgrow it in a day or so) and each class has it;s own unique gear but then came the Artisans/Foragers sets (of course both sets seem to be incomplete ATM)

It's not like they wouldn't put useless stats on your gear just because you don't share it. Look at all the SLD DRG gear with skill speed all over it.

It's all stupid tbh. We get situations like BLM/SMN and want more but SE are like "too bad."
