A query regarding the expansion licence keys

How many people actually play more then one platform? Being how the internet works now days what would keep people from just buying the PS3/4 Version for the key and then just downloading the PC version off the net?

Oh anyways getting off topic from OP post the keys are linked to your account not your system so two people can't use the same key regardless if data is installed.

We don't want to both use the same key; we know we'll have to buy it once each. But we don't want to both buy a PC and PS4 version.

Unfortunately, nobody knows for sure how it's going to work for FFXIV expansions. SE hasn't released any specific information about it.*

All we've got are educated guesses, which could go either way. With XI, you only needed one license key per account, regardless of platforms (as long as you could install the software). But that applied to the game itself in XI, too, while with XIV, you need one license key per account per platform for the game itself. So pick your interpretation and place your bets.

*And frankly, if they did, it would probably be worded/translated in such a way that it wouldn't actually clear anything up.
