although i completely agree that the looking for group system must be enhance
i am not sure either that the answer is "take the same system as ff 11".
Everyone wanted an auto attack system and now people are bitching it
There is already a system in place in the game atm that is close to some other mmo on the market
and maybe they should first focus on 'fixing' and enhancing that system instead of changing everything and take ff 11.
But i still completely agree that the LFG system must evoluate !!!!
I will be posting ideas to enhance the actual lfg system later on.

Eheh i understand what u mean, and i can agree with ya.... but anyway no /sea all(that is so much important)... cant search perfectly in a specific area (neither for ppl that dont look for party)... sometimes this system make u feel so alone in Eorzea. how i said before... is not a must use the FF XI system... but try to use it as first step then go on!

The current system is cumbersome, confusing and ultimately pointless. I've spent the last three days seeking a party for 60 minutes at a time and repeatedly searched to see I was the only person in the entire world doing so. The system doesn't work. Everyone knows the system doesn't work. So nobody bothers even looking anymore. Even if they do improve the system a thousand times over, it will make no difference because nobody even looks.

The only possible solution must start with a very clear and very public abolishing of the current system so that whatever replaces it might get noticed by the jaded masses who have come to utterly ignore it.

This has been the biggest issue this game has faced since day 1 and it continues to be ignored by the developers. It frustrates me to no end.

Agree with ya.... noone use it, or only use it to join your party just when see you shoutin... so i think is really useless.
You could just come near me after saw the shout and let me invite you with a click. We need an "international" /sea all system in Eorzea.

Agree, and I would like to add to that with the restriction on removing/disbanding/teleporting in a party while one or more people are engaged in battle. This is horribly annoying and I don't see the purpose to it. The other night a friend of mine was in my party and at Horizon while I was at Tranquil. He could not teleport or leave the party because I was fighting.

Also I would like the ability to invite someone mid-battle if I am having difficulty in a fight, especially now since there is penalty with return.

And I'm sure this has been covered by someone but I want to mention it, a full size option for the chat log like XI has. Also maybe more options for creating customized tabs (like for linkshell or party) and not another chat window that clutters up the screen.
