From complete boredom to 'OMG I hate being at work I wanna play FFXIV!"

XIV was starting to collect a lot of dust. I would log in every once in a while and immediately become bored and sad that it felt so empty and bland.

However, every day since 1.18, I want to play ALLS THE TIME!!! I am at work right now and I CANNOT WAIT to get home and play. I am so relieved.

I agree that so long as there are people to do things with, it's very fun! Hammering at that Darkhold dungeon is awesome, despite how much it costs for gear repairs lol

I think that's a little uncalled for.

As for the OP, I'm glad that you have found a new breath of life in the game. I to have restarted this game since v1.18 and am enjoying my time in world.

I wish i had your motivation to play the game, the lack of content to level on is completely killing the game for me. Feels like another 1-max level grinding game again.. /sigh

I do have hopes this will be remedied in the future..

As for your comment on not wanting to play unless "other people are on", well, there are ALWAYS people on. However, I understand where you're coming from. Sometimes it's hard to find people to do what YOU want to do.

I have actually been doing some quests. Yesterday I did a quest where I had to kill 5 giant crabs for a fisherman in Limsa because they were eating all his fish. It took about 10 minutes and I got 2k SP. Not too bad, in my book. It was fun to go out to the beach, also. I had never been there. Once I arrived there was another person wandering the beach. I asked them what they were doing and they were on the same quest as me. We teamed up and quickly demolished the 5 crabs.

If the game isn't presenting fun to you, find your own.

Then again, I know this game doesn't appeal to everyone in it's current state, and that's fine too. It keeps the stress on SE to continue making it better.

I can relate to this.

I've actually been spending more time in game than on the Lodestone since 1.18! That in and of itself is an accomplishment for SE. They've finally made the game more entertaining than the official forums.
