Medica II abuse needs to stop

Yes, that's why I dont understadnd why ppl are using medica2 somewhere els then on bosses that does AOE.
Overheal, high cost in mana, lot of aggro, only problems, the only "good" point I read of it, was the healing on tank, with the regen, but the heal is too low to worth this long cast time, the cost in mana, and the aggro made by this.

As WHM : Dont use AOE heal if there is not at least 3 ppl that need to be healed.
With this rule in mind : Never using medica2 on pull (everyone's full life), and during simple packs of monsters (only the tank take dmg)

There is expections OFC, like the monsters before the second boss of Brayflox.

Yea, ok, go ahead and Medica II while the tank is pulling instead of waiting until he has them gathered up and see how well that goes.

Uh it went pretty well cuz i had stoneskin on myself along with around 5.9k hp or so ( can't remember ) i would then pop swiftcast stoneskin on tank while in CS the use SS ( drops emnity derp ) followed up by PoM then holy spam then switch back to heals mode if dps couldn't kill the mobs fast enough.
Had many successful runs cuz of it and yea tanks had no problems with it as it " works " just fine.
A pre casted medica won't beat a flash from an equally / a bit lower geared tank. I know, i tried, i've done it many times.
Also y r u acting like if a mob hits me once i'm dead? It's not like i have 3k hp.

This is a trend I've been seeing slowly pick up since around 2.2/2.3 or so but it's just outright dumb now. I swear 80+% of pug WHMs I see in roulettes and dungeons pre-cast Medica II or blow it as the tank is pulling, and then of course the tanks get blamed for not being able to hold hate. I don't know if it's because the changes to tank enmity spoiled this "new" generation of WHMs but it needs to stop. Pre-casting Medica II literally does nothing except generate ridiculous amounts of hate from overhealing, particularly if you stoneskinned everyone, and it makes life miserable for both the tanks and melee DPS. If you want to use a spell before a pull and look pretty, SCH is right next door.

Or bad WHMs could cut it out in the first place, all bosses tag everyone with 1 enmity to lock them in combat, even if the tank clicks it off it will be running on everyone else. Let me know how that Twintania pull goes with a DS medica 2 ticking on the pull, bad habits and all that.

I usually have Stoneskin up prior to pull, then throw Eye for an Eye/Regen just before tank pulls then switch cleric stance. I switch back when needed or Ill get lazy and throw Benediction and just keep DPSing :P

Actually, being able to deal with healer enmity on adds is important for tanks. It's one of those crisis skills that distinguish good tanks from bad ones. Basically:

Shield Lob (Twintania) - Cover (WHM) - Flash - Circle of Scorn if solo tank.
Cover has a range of 10 so you can still face the boss to the side while keeping the WHM safe as you gain enmity.

As a PLD tank I've never had problems with enmity on healers because even if you lose the adds you can grab them back without getting the healer killed.

I agree, but we're talking about WHMs that choose to generate stupid amounts of unnecessary enmity for absolutely no reason at all, enmity control is something healers need to learn also.

I am scholar, but sometimes I catch aggro for my fault, and not of tank. Bad timing when doing stoneskin or to throw Eye for an Eye. Tank can be excellent, but cannot always cover the failure of another.

Anyway, in this game seems kamikaze a healer use regen before a pull.

This needs Togo into the wtfwhm page. It doesn't matter if the tank clicks it off. It's still on the rest of the party.
