For the people who keep insisting they put an Aetheryte in Vesper Bay, you REALLY, really need to pay more attention to the main story quests. /sigh
No one said we didn't pay attention to the story or lore. When I stated it, I was merely saying it for ease of use. Though, for some odd reason I didn't think of Whitebrim first at the time.. YES oh gods yes, that town needs an aetheryte.
IMO that zone border shouldn't exist. Ul'dah is the only city where the closest aetheryte to the market board is across a zone border. For a city founded on commerce this is a bizarre design decision.
Though I have heard rumors of them wanting to "update" ul'dah for gold saucer so....yeah.
Sure, it's inconvenient to walk/run places, but I like to sit back and enjoy the scenery. And I wouldn't have gotten some atma (when it was hard to get) from random FATEs I randomly entered if it was possible to just teleport to a spot within a 20 yalm radius of my destination. So step out there and smell the roses! Get some ingame vitamin D! Work on your characters condition before his knees lock up from not enough use!
Besides, if there was an Aetheryte shard at Mordor, the LotR trilogy would have been but a single TV movie instead.
Then again, I wasn't a fan of the movies...
While I really don't mind traveling a few seconds after teleporting, if I HAVE to pick where to add an aetheryte - Whitebrim prz D:
